Man Charged With Sex Assault At 2006 OZZFEST - Apr. 30, 2007

Illinois' DailySouthtown.com reports that bail was set at $35,000 for a Crest Hill man accused of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old woman at the Ozzfest concert in Tinley Park last year.

Patrick Miller, 33, was arrested Friday (April 27) and charged with one count of criminal sexual assault, Tinley Park police said today.

Miller is accused of sexually assaulting the woman as she was leaving the concert at the First Midwest Amphitheater in Tinley Park on July 16, 2006, police said.

The woman was walking through a parking lot about 9 p.m. when she and a shirtless man began talking. After the conversation, the man forced her to a secluded grassy area of the parking lot and assaulted her.

Police said DNA evidence linked Miller to the assault.

	Many cases, especially ones involving sex crimes, often take a while to investigate. They also take total cooperation from victim(s). Many times the D.A. Invetigators take extra time to invetigate for the D.A's Office to see if they are going to prosecute. So don't bag on the Tinley Park Police (even though I don't work for them).

Not that it makes it right but she really ought to learn to protect herself. c) Uh..a year? When was this filed? Were the cops just sitting on their asses this whole time or did she just decide to come clean about it? d) I'm not saying the guy's a victim of some foul play but I'd like hear his side of the story since I'm not sure how you could force someone to a 'secluded area' of a FUCKING PARKING LOT!! Someone had to have seen something and were either wasted or too chickenshit to do anything about it.
