KORN Frontman Is A Third-Time Father - May 10, 2007

KORN frontman Jonathan Davis and wife Deven welcomed their second son two weeks ago, according to HardDrive Radio. Zeppelin Davis was born by a caesarean section on Saturday, April 28.

Jonathan and Deven have one son named Pirate, while Davis also has a son named Nathan from his previous marriage to Renee Perez.

A brand new KORN song, entitled "I Will Protect You", has been posted on the group's MySpace page. The track is expected to appear on the band's as-yet-untitled eighth studio album, due on July 24.

Although famed drummer Terry Bozzio worked on much of the record, KORN announced last month that he would not be joining the band on tour. Original KORN drummer David Silveria is taking a hiatus.

The schedule for this summer's Family Values Tour, co-headlined by KORN and EVANESCENCE, has been announced. The 30-city tour will begin on July 20 in Missouri, ending in early September in California. The lineup also includes FLYLEAF, HELLYEAH, ATREYU, TRIVIUM, NEUROSONIC and DROID. KORN has also revealed that SLIPKNOT's Joey Jordison will be the band's guest drummer for both Family Values and this summer's European festival shows.

	take more than Joey Jordison to make Korn "good" agian. It would require them writing their own music and lyrics again instead of relying on Atticus Ross and the Matrix.

	those names are retarded but korn will always have a place in my heart all those years ago when they made those kick ass albums koRn through to issues and the first track off untouchables i dont like their new stuff but i still love them for the good times ive had growing up with them

	Well, congratulations to them. I'm sure that this is a very happy time for them, and I hope that all is well with the baby. With that being said, I checked out the new single, and while it actually had some strong points, it stank pretty bad. The drumming is weak, the riffs are tired, and some of it sounds rehashed from the last album. While it has been pointed out that the drums are more prominent than probably any other Korn release, they didn't have a shred of originality to them. I honestly can't stand this band anymore. I really hate their new stuff, they nosedived after Take A Look In The Mirror, which I thought was actually a good release. If you like them, that's cool, but I'm starting to really detest them as musicians.
