CHEVELLE Slowly Recovering Stolen Gear

Launch Radio Networks reports: CHEVELLE has recovered a large amount of the equipment it lost when the band's trailer was stolen outside a hotel in Dallas last month, with the trio hoping to reclaim even more. Drummer Sam Loeffler filled Launch in on the positive turn of events. "We got about half of it back," he said. "Of the 14 guitars, we got two of 'em, and then we got some amplifiers back and our monitor system. So it's really, I mean it's cool because it's kind of like Christmas, only really weirder. People have been calling us and saying, 'Hey, I bought this or that,'and you know, we're just doing our best to buy it back from them. And certainly the issue is not a money issue, it's about having the pieces of gear that you did all your records with."
CHEVELLE had asked fans after the May 9 theft to keep an eye out for its gear being sold through eBay and other online dealers.
The group has been working with police to capture a suspect in the crime.
CHEVELLE finished up a headlining tour in support of its fourth album, "Vena Sera", on Wednesday night (June 13) in St. Paul, Minnesota. The latest single from the CD is called "I Get It".

I know a lot of people here don´t.
But don´t turn this into a bashing thread.
Having the gear stolen is the most horrible thing to happen to any band, I´m glad they´re getting it back! :)

I agree.
No mercy for gear takers.
I don't listen to Chevelle but I have respect for them and I feel for the loss of gear. I hope they come back with stories when this is "over".

I think it's great that alot of the fans are helping them find thier gear.....but if it happened in Dallas I can think of a whole lot of reasons why that happened in Dallas.....envy being one reason and for the other reasons that's something I will know and others will have to figure out. Gald to hear that some of the gear is getting found.

Dallas fuckin sucks! Nothing but a city full of assholes and shitheads! It doesn't suprise me one bit that they lost their stuff in Dallas. I'll never go to Dallas to see another show. Good to hear they're recovering their stuff though.

While you are correct every town has its share of undesirable people, I still stand by my shallow and insensitive assesment of Dallas. True story, last year at a show in Dallas, some burnout standing in the middle of a pit decides that walking to the bathroom would take too much of his time and instead pees in a bottle and throws it on the floor. Call me an idiot if you will but, that's something only a shithead or asshole would do. (And I already know you can't judge an entire city based on one person's actions so don't bother pointing that out.)

Dallas is the butthole of middle america. Chicago is the best city in Middle America. Dallas is a dump.
Hopefully Chevelle's able to recover all of their gear and the perpetrator will be sent to Federal Pound Me in the Ass Prison.

WHO STAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PIT ARE HILARIOUS. THEY'RE FUN TO KNOCK DOWN.
