MAYHEM Drummer Breaks Arm; Band Cancels HELLFEST Appearance - June 15, 2007

Norwegian black metallers MAYHEM have been forced to cancel their appearance at this year's Hellfest — set to take place June 23-25 in Clisson, France — after MAYHEM/DIMMU BORGIR drummer Jan Axel von Blomberg (a.k.a. Hellhammer) broke his arm, making it impossible for him to play the event. Replacing MAYHEM on the festival billing is ENSLAVED.

MAYHEM's latest CD, "Ordo Ad Chao", entered the Norwegian album chart at position No. 12, the band's highest position ever.

MAYHEM had only once before been on the Norwegian charts, when the band's last album, "Chimaira", reached No. 28 in 2004.

	sure, there'll never be a dimmu like för all tid again, but in sorte diaboli sounds a hell lot darker than progenies/deathcult, and that's a great deal thanks to hellhammer, at least according to himself in interviews

	You really have no idea what your talking about. A band member that was not an official member until after the recordings made the album different? You are an idiot. Hellhammer and Vortex can enjoy their money filled baths together for all I care, pick up the new Negura Bunget and the last Deathspell Omega ep and then you will realise that there actually are bands still aking good black metal. Dimmu Borgir are as Dark as Eminem.

	I really hope this doesn't affect their US shows. The new album is unbelievable - I'll be crushed if I don't get to see them in July.

	Hellhammer wasn't referring to Dimmu in that documentary. He was always good friends with the band. Besides, Covenant were always much more synth driven than Dimmu were

	AND I WAS GOING TO SEE THEM THE NIGHT BEFORE OZZFEST. SEEMS LIKE SOMETHING IS ALWAYS HAPPENING TO THIS BAND TO PREVENT THEM FROM COMING TO THE STATES.
