HELMET mainman
Page Hamilton will appear at this year's
Comic-Con International convention in San Diego, California.
Hamilton will speak on a panel along with legendary comic book creators
Paul Jenkins (
Wolverine Origin,
Frontlines) and
Rob Prior (
Spawn The Impaler,
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" TV show,
EFX) on Friday, July 27 at 3:30 p.m. in the downtown San Diego Convention Center.
The first 125 people at the panel will be given a bag including a t-shirt for
Jenkins and
Prior's new original motion picture
"Tatua", a CD with the new
HELMET song
"Revenge Destroys Everything", a
"Tatua" comic book and much more.
All those at the panel will be entered to win an original
Page Hamilton guitar airbrushed by acclaimed artist
Rob Prior, and signed by
Page and
Prior.
At the panel, tickets will also be given away to the invite-only
"Tatua" announcement party where
HELMET will be playing.
After the question-and-answer session,
HELMET will take part in a signing session at the Top Cow booth, where
Prior and
Jenkins will be set up.
On Saturday, July 28, the
"Tatua" announcement party will take place where
HELMET will give a free concert and will debut the new song
"Revenge Destroys Everything", which is said to be "the title track" of
"Tatua".
As previously reported,
HELMET's video for the song
"Money Shot" has been posted online at
this location. The track comes off the group's latest album,
"Monochrome", which was released in July 2006. The follow-up to 2004's
"Size Matters" was co-produced by
Wharton Tiers, who recorded the band's first two releases,
"Strap It On" and
"Meantime".
HELMET's video for
"Monochrome", filmed by director
David Brodsky (
GWAR,
STRAPPING YOUNG LAD,
THE RED CHORD) of
MyGoodEye and featuring clips from the
"Saw III" movie, has been posted online at
YouTube.
HELMET last year announced the addition of drummer
Kyle Stevenson and bassist
John Fuller to its ranks.
