METALLICA's HETFIELD, ULRICH Pay AEROSMITH A Backstage Visit

According to a report posted on AEROSMITH's official web site, "James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich of METALLICA came to the [AEROSMITH] show at the Shoreline Amphitheater [in San Francisco] and paid a visit to the guys in their dressing rooms before they went on. It was nice to see the two rock icons shooting the shit. James had a poster from the 70s signed. Those guys are such huge AEROSMITH fans. Rumor has it James requested 'Back in the Saddle' and Lars requested 'I Don't Want to Miss a Thing'. I'm joking, of course — he asked for 'Angel'."

To put it in perspective, Mad Max, what I'm talking about specifically here is your commentary about Metallica/Aerosmith. Yes, they would be heavy in conjunction with one another, but only if you're comparing them to a totally different genre of music. In relation to what they are currently (rock or at best, hard rock) they wouldn't be all that heavy. They would probably sound the same - Aerosmith a little heavier than current, Metallica a little less heavy than current. But, in no way would it be the heaviest thing around, no matter what scale you're using.
As for your comments about positive outlook and such, yes, you do seem to have a more favorable viewpoint about a lot of bands (especially the nu-metal bands, and just plain rock bands). But how on earth anyone would feel threatened by that is beyond me.
In conclusion, I think you're someone who either innocently throws their viewpoint out to their world, not realizing how oblivious you are, or (and this is far more likely) you just like to get a rise out of people. If it's the latter case, I guess we should just all ignore you from now on (something many of us have been trying to do with Mr. Dumbass Army).

You guys need to get something straight here. for one, theses bands of today are terrible! I mean take Korn for instance, a band who seem to only know how to play everything in low key. There are no guitar solos, now craushing rythyms just bass-like riffs. If music keeps going the way it is, guys will be on stage with 3 bassists and a drummer!! The 6-string will no longer be needed. Just a bass with distortion. Metallicas music contains lots of solos, lots of interesting rythyms and James is a very talented vocalist. The new bands are playing shitty music and you people are buying it!!!! Slipnot, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Powerman 5000, Static X, they might as well hang it up!!! they SUCK!! Very Badly!!!
