Full GUNS N' ROSES 'Reunion' Fails To Materialize At ADLER'S APPETITE Concert - July 29, 2007
Former GUNS N' ROSES members Izzy Stradlin (guitar) and Duff McKagan (bass) joined ex-GN'R drummer Steven Adler and his ADLER'S APPETITE band for a couple of "Appetite for Destruction" numbers during ADLER'S APPETITE's headlining appearance at the Key Club in West Hollywood, California Saturday night (July 28). Although Slash did make it to the venue earlier in the night and had every intention of playing with Adler, something reportedly came up that forced him to leave before he could go up on stage and jam with the other guys. As expected, GUNS N' ROSES' lead singer Axl Rose was a no-show at the event , which was meant to celebrate the 20th anniversary of GN'R's classic debut.

A photo of Stradlin and ADLER'S APPETITE, taken during soundcheck at the Key Club before yesterday's performance, can be viewed at this location.

Although Rose did not make an appearance at the Key Club gig, Adler recently told GuitarWorld.com that a full reunion will eventually happen. "Axl and I spoke to each other in Las Vegas recently, and I know there's a chance," he said. "It's just too big.

"Whatever the STONES make when they play, we'd triple it. It'd be ridiculous not to do it. He can't be that goofy."

As previously reported, Rolling Stone magazine will honor the twentieth anniversary of "Appetite for Destruction" by looking back at the sex, drugs and Aqua Net that went into the making of GUNS N' ROSES' legendary debut. Click here for an excerpt of Brian Hiatt's cover story, and here for a photo gallery that catches Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan and Steven Adler behind the scenes throughout their late-'80s/early-'90s heyday.

Don't bother man. All Axl fucktards will swear by their idol, no matter what.

Here're some results we got from the Axl Pose army:

-No new "gnr" album in 16yrs+ :

What the lobotomized fans say: he's writing something epic

What it really means: The guy is not a very creative or talented musician

-No original members :

What the lobotomized fans say: It's still GnR, Axl is there dancing to the old songs

What it really means: We are seeing a cover group of a once great band

-Chinese democracy comes out this year :

What the lobotomized fans say: our idol is back!

What it really means: cash is running out, let's pull a cash grab tour.

If they wait any longer, no one's going to care. e.i. Van Halen.
I think it's funny when Rockstars break up successful multi-million dollar bands because they can't get along. How much time do they have to spend together anyhow? I wish I could work a couple of hours a week for my income. I have to work 40 + hours a week at a mind numbing job with dumb fucks I can't stand just to make ends meet. I do get screamed at when I walk into a room though, not by groupies, but by my dickhead boss.

Give it the fuck up man, seriously. Izzy left along time ago. The key was that they played Rock n' Roll like no one else with Axl's primal scream and Slash's riffs. Sure Izzy was cool but, no band ever folded because their recluse rhythm guitar player called it quits.

Adler, shut the fuck up! They kicked your sorry ass out along time ago and never lost a beat!

I NEVER want to see a Gunners reunion. Axl ruined the name BIGTIME with all the shit he's pulled over the years. Besides, he lost his voice. I'll just chill the rock n' roll of Velvet Revolver!

It's still better than Velvet Revolver.

Who the hell really thinks that the new stuff Axl has put out is better than the stuff Velvet Revolver has put out? Seriously?
'Better' , 'The Blues', 'IRS' , 'Chinese Democracy and 'TWAT' (which i think sounds the closest to a GnR song) and what the fuck was that shit on the End Of Days Soundtrack? Oh my God (pardon the pun) that was horrible. Who really thinks that any better than Velvet Revolver's stuff? Axl Can't sing anymore! And what's with all the cheesey 80's keyboard crap on his new tunes? At least the keys on AFD and UYI's sounded good.

Some of those rockers needs to get back to a normal job and see where the world's at. Stupid cry-babies looking for the big paycheck, hoping people will care about their pathetic cash-grabbing reunion.

Once every ex-something will lack funds and need to pay the bills you'll get a world-wide tour reunion, and it will suck bad...real bad.

It was rather surprising not to see Slash, he did perform with McKagan's band a long time ago here. Adler was frequently hollering offstage? I suppose the assessment that the show was a "mess" is purely personal; the Appetite guys did a good job of playing and the singer was a ringer for Axl. They threw in a couple AC/DC songs with the psuedo-L.A. Guns drummer singing. It seemes as if they were trying to kill time? The sound was a bit muddy for the usual Key Club. Highlight: Civil War.

Later!

GNR is the greatest rock band. No matter what happens they are the best. No other band has November Rain, no other band has Don't Cry, no other band has Sweet Child o' Mine. There are many great bands out there but GNR is unique, Axl is unique. The reunion will happen, sooner or later and I believe Axl will come up with something great and something as deep as November Rain. Not to show up is Axl's style. Surprised for Slash indeed. But hey he's Axl.

Gosh, it didn't happen? Well, there's a surprise.

Slash obviously had that feeling, the one where you are trying to get rid of a pain in the arse girlfriend, she just won't take the hint but you are too nice to tell her to fuck off. Adler is kinda like a girlfriend anyway, he gives blowjobs in parks.
I wonder how many times he phoned his bestest ever mates in his old band for a few dollars when there were no blokes to suck for cash?

About time he just faced up to the fact he fucked up, and if any reunion happens, Matt Sorum will be doing it. They ought to stop pussyfooting about and tell him he is an embarassment whose best career move would be to OD.
And remember now, drugs are bad hmmmmkay?

I was at rehearsal studio in North Hollywood that shall remain unnamed, out of respect for the privacy of others. Last Thursday and Friday night, Adler's group was rehearsing for the Key Club show, and Slash, Duff and Izzy all showed up. Everybody got along and everybody was cool. It appears that almost all of the band has made up with Axl (yes the $$ has a lot to do with it- GNR is the only band people want to see get together with the original lineup besides Van Halen with Roth) and it would have to be with Adler cause Izzy prefers Adler's drumming (Sorum is a stud but chemistry is chemistry..) As good as Velvet Revolver sometimes is, and as good as the new GNR sounds (not too shabby) let's just hope thatthese guys continue to renew their friendships and give us what we all want to hear.
