Former GUANO APES Singer Returns With Solo Single, Video - Aug. 9, 2007
Former GUANO APES frontwoman Sandra Nasic will release her first solo single as a double A-side in September. The two-track release contains the two rocking but very different songs, "Fever" and "The Name of My Baby". A "special premium edition" will contain additional material that has not yet been disclosed.

Check out the video for "The Name of My Baby" below.

Sandra's debut album, scheduled for release in the fall, is "persuasive in its variety of stylistic expression, stretching from pop to crossover to metal, demonstrating just how comfortable and excited Sandra is in her new role," according to a press release.

GUANO APES was one of Germany's most successful bands both domestically and abroad for more than a decade. In 2000, the band won the MTV Award for "Best German Act" and went on to win countless other awards, including the Echo, the Viva Comet, the 1LIVE Krone and the IFPI award for over one million sales of the APES' debut, "Proud Like a God". All three of the band's studio albums attained gold status, while their singles landed regularly in the Top 10 of the German charts.

why German labels sign all these german language "Studenten Bands" instead of some "new" Guano Apes. Because of the English lyrics they were also selling records outside Germany.

I liked that Proud like a god song when I was younger. This is just meh. It reminds me of Hole or some post grunge band from the 90s. It's like any other pop rock song on the radio that I never listen to.

COMMENT | GREAT SONG!!!
