NIGHTWISH's Early Albums To Be Reissued Via SPINEFARM RECORDS UK
- Aug. 13, 2007
Spinefarm Records will be launching in the UK this autumn, kicking off its campaign with deluxe versions of the first five albums from NIGHTWISH — the multi-platinum Finnish outfit whose latest CD, "Dark Passion Play", is scheduled for release late September/early October (depending on territory). The albums in question are as follows:
"Angels Fall First" (1997) "Oceanborn" (1998) "Wishmaster" (2000) "Over The Hills And Far Away" (2001) "Century Child" (2002)
All of these reissues are fully endorsed by the band and will come complete with bonus tracks and videos, significantly expanded artwork, sleevenotes, messages, autographs and special packaging. There will also be a limited run of double albums, pressed onto coloured vinyl.
Many of the band's best-known compositions are featured on these titles — "The Carpenter", "Sacrament Of Wilderness", "Sleeping Sun", "The Kinslayer", "Wanderlust", "Dead Boy's Poem", "Bless The Child", "Ever Dream" and more, plus spectacular covers of "Walking In The Air", "The Phantom Of The Opera" and Gary Moore's "Over The Hills And Far Away", a favorite of NIGHTWISH composer/keyboard player Tuomas Holopainen since he was a child.
To date, NIGHTWISH has sold around 3 million records worldwide, and has toured in 40 different countries.

The voice is too high, it gets really annoying. And that little dance thing that she's doing...really, cut that shit out. Besides looking really dumb, it doesn't fit the image of the band.

Very accessable music now that Tarja's gone,...New singer, new dance moves(?), new music, and new direction as well looks like,....I think with Tarja, Nightwish were 'stuck' in the operatic "metal" genre, her vocal range was limited IMO, now with this singer, they can now have better access to the radio, especially in the U.S. were they can break through into a new market,....*cha ching*

tarja is way too overdramtic with that opera shit. i'm more of a fan of straight ahead singing like this
Is this chick the one who´s on the "Bones" TV series??? I didn´t know that she was a singer too ¡¡¡

When will a band ever understand that to continue without a voice like Tarja's and calling the band by their original name is suicide. I watched the video (BLAH)!! Why does Toumas feel that the entire world wants to see his nipples? Button your shirt there T-man! Will Emppu please stop getting down into that ridiculous position while playing? I'm always waiting to see him fall over like a yard gnome every time he does it. He looks absolutely ludicrous. Since when did Jukka change his name to "Julius"...cmon' guys give me a break! Nightwish sounds no different than Pat Benatar on steroids. Annette you have a lovely voice but you just don't fill the shoes at all.
T-man, a word of advice call the band something different like PowderPuffWish....it's more fitting at this point.

The three first are classics - especially Oceanborn. After that it went down hill.

holy shit that sucked. the music is about what I expect from nightwish but the vocals holy fuck...whats with that gay dance too? with the head bobbin back and forth like its a country video or something. sounds like spit...they need a new chamber singer to make this band work.
