CANNIBAL CORPSE Collecting Supplies For Victims Of Peru Earthquake - Aug. 25, 2007
According to the Peruvian news agency Andina, legendary death metallers CANIBAL CORPSE have asked their fans to donate food and other supplies during the band's concert in Lima, Peru to aid the victims of the magnitude-8 earthquake which shook the southern coast of Peru, killing over 500 people and injuring 1500.

CANIBAL CORPSE's Lima show is taking place today (Saturday, August 25) at Discoteca Suburvia.

To celebrate Metal Blade's 25th anniversary, the label reissued CANNIBAL CORPSE's 1996 fifth studio album — the first to feature current vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher"Vile", with an additional four-track DVD filmed at San Francisco's Berkeley Square on February 3, 1997. The CD features a 12-page booklet and completely revised artwork.

CANNIBAL CORPSE's video for the song "Death Walking Terror" has been posted online at YouTube. The track comes off "Kill", the band's 10th studio LP, which came out in March 2006. The album debuted at No. 170 on The Billboard 200 chart, selling more than 6,000 copies in its first week. It was the second time in the band's career that one of its albums breached the mostly pop-friendly list; in 1996, "Vile" opened at No. 151, with more than 6,100 copies sold.

I wish the Pop Stars think something like this rather than let someone organise a charity corporate Glam Blitz event

not a fan of these guys. but its awesome that they are doing this. someone else said it earlier if mainstream acts did more of this it would be great but that ill never happen they have to buy 22s for thier car or pay off local authorities to make thier felony crimes go away. Kudos to cannibal corpse for actual giving a shit about things other then themselves and their pocket books

Well good, I had a really low opinion of them after reading their lyrics and watching a video about how much he liked WoW. I'm glad they aren't despicable human beings like I thought.

Most of society would not believe how nice and down to earth the members of Cannibal Corpse really are. I think it's a great thing they are doing and I will support this cause. Underground Metal bands spread peace and unity not violence!

COMMENT | They're really humble, nice people

People, they are a horror heavy metal band, not a cult of sexual predators. Why would anyone think these guys are nasty human beings. That is like having disdain for a horror movie director for making violent films.

They are average joes. Kudos to them.

I've always loved the pararel with Cannibal Corpse's music and lyrics being all about stabbing people in the face and blowing them up, and killing them with household objects, and so on, and yet outside of it, they've all got families, and they're all real nice guys.

Not only have they stayed true to Death Metal for almost 20 years...

Not only do they fly the flag for Death Metal...

Not only are they really cool people who love their fans...

But now they do this for victims of a natural disaster.

CC always have and always will have my eternal respect and support.

I cant wait to see them live in Sep, Last time I saw Cannibal they played born in a casket! But no covered with sores. I think George does force fed broken glass better than Barnes did on the original. That song could've been on Vile!
