TED NUGENT Asked To Tone It Down For S.D. State Fair

Detroit Free Press reports that a South Dakota state fair official asked Ted Nugent to tone things down for an show at the S.D. State Fair on Sunday, after a video surfaced of the outspoken rocker slamming Democratic presidential candiates Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama.
Susan Hayward, who manages the fair, told KSFY-TV in Sioux Falls that officials contacted Nugent's representatives yesterday and reminded them that the fair is a family-oriented event.
"They were very courteous in responding immediately in assuring us that that's exactly what we would have," Hayward says.
Video footage of Ted Nugent having a few choice words for Clinton and Obama during a recent concert can be viewed below. With machine guns in his hands, a camouflaged Nugent yelled, "Obama, he's a piece of shit, and I told him to suck on my machine gun. ... And then I was in New York. I said, 'Hey Hillary, you might want to ride one of these into the sunset.' " He also went off on Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer before saying, "Any questions?" and shouting, "Freedom!"
Nugent has been an outspoken advocate of the second amendment (the right to bear arms) and pro-hunting issues.
Nugent also openly takes an anti-drugs and alcohol stance, which he reportedly has followed during his career, unlike many other rock musicians.
In addition to his music career, Nugent has starred in his own television reality shows, "Surviving Nugent" (2003, VH1) and "Wanted: Ted or Alive" (2005, OLN).

I remember thinking back when Bush won re-election that he would continue to fukk up the US so much that in four years a woman or a black man would actually have a chance of being president. Had he been a half competent president this probably wouldnt be happening.

I think that Nugent is badass, and it's great that he actually has an opinion about the politics affecting us. But for the love of God, grow up and have an educated opinion and use your influence to make a difference...not piss a bunch of people off.

the problem is that people like Ted and Blabber_Zombies are the 1st ones to label someone "Unpatriotic" for their beliefs, but what is more patriotic than serving your country???? I did 16 years ago in the Gulf War, but both consider me "unpatriotic" because I don't agree with the way Bush has done things.

I would love to go hunting with Ted and listen to his rock 'n' roll stories by the campfire while eating steak and drinking beer. Ted seems to be a reasonable and down-to-earth guy, I bet he doesn't want to torture or abuse animals in any situation, he just like's to hunt and live from the nature - as the entire fucking mankind has done throughout the history. You know, for example the entire Northern America would not even be inhabited without the resources enabled by the animal kingdom. Fur coats have made possible the living during the cold harsh winter, the meat has given strength to survive.
Game animals are meant to be part of the nature's food cycle, serving as a food source for other animals and decomp insects. Game animals are also meant to serve as a food, clothing and tool source for humans. Of course, humans should not hunt animals just for fun&sport, but to survive, nourish themselves and control the animal base in certain human-populated regions.
You know, my late grandfater used to hunt and fish whenever he had time for it. Reasons? He did it because wanted to enjoy the surrounding nature, to enjoy the thrill of the chase and most importantly he wanted to enjoy the food he got from the wild. Still, as a sworn carnivore, my grandfather was a dedicated nature conservationist. He always loved animals of all kind and was one with the nature, using it's resources by the national regulations and certainly not abusing or torturing any animals.
The problems with nature occur when humans start to exploit nature beyond it's boundaries. Too much hunting causes extinction, trashing and dumping causes damaged environment etc.
