LED ZEPPELIN To Reunite For London Gig This Fall?

According to This is London, legendary rockers LED ZEPPELIN look set to reform and play the O2 arena in London, England this autumn. There has been no official announcement that they will perform again 27 years after the group disbanded following the death of drummer John Bonham but advertisements appeared in the U.K. press today with top-price ticket and hotel packages on offer for £369. A cheaper package from the Premier Entertainments company, including a night in a four-star hotel, is available for £269. Callers today were told: "It's just about to be officially announced." Speculation had been mounting for some time that the band would get back together soon. The three surviving members — John Paul Jones, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page — reunited at the Live Aid concert in Philadelphia in 1985 for a short set with Phil Collins as one of the stand-in drummers. The band's albums and song "Stairway to Heaven" have remained popular and a new best-of album is due this year.

I've noticed a trend lately where every single rumour gets posted as news somewhere. Can people please show some restraint and wait for some sort of confirmation from official sources before spreading this stuff? Perhaps these rumours are just spread to gauge response.

I saw Plant Page 6 or 7 years ago, and it was mind blowing. While Robert can't hit the real high screams from the 70's circa, the vocal sounded better without them. Very few bands can speak to an audience with music, these guys are one of the few.
A full blown tour under the name Led Zeppelin, would put all other reunions to shame.

quite to my astonishment, he has the range and sutain
at least equal to the song remains the same movie
hard to imagine him belting the opening of immigrant song
quite the same... but definitely plant won't pull the reuinion
down..
as far as page being sloppy... a sloppy jimmy page is
better than 99% of all other guitarist. He's a living god.
Jones was dissed way way way too uncool.

Robert Plant is touring with Allison Krause right now,I do know it's not going to be a terribly long tour but I don't see how they'd stop it to play a single gig in London.
I would love to see the boys in Zeppelin reunite with Jason Bonham filling in for his dad,I'm sure he'd make him proud.
I just don't see it but IF this is legit and it hits stateside I will scrape up money to see it if it's coming to Rochester or close by.

John Paul Jones is the only one who stayed true to his music all these years... go on youtube and type his name in and there's videos of him jamming with folk musicians and bluegrass guitarists and other bands and musicians. Page and Plant both got lazy... Page was a session musician to start with. yeah he doesn't need the money but what about doing it cause.. oh i don't know.. may LIKE PLAYING THE GUITAR.
and don't give me all this shit of dissing an icon... I'm not dissing them cause i know they brought so much to music and caused alot of changes in how things are done within a band and within the stage set up but John Paul Jones is the only true musician nowadays.

how this rumor can generate so much interest..
the Heaven and Hell tour or the upcoming possible Black Sabbath album with Ozzy would be more appealing to me. Zeppelin has always been OVER RATED.
