Listen to the program live via the Internet between 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. U.K. time at BBC.co.uk.

HIM's new album, "Venus Doom", is scheduled for release in North America on September 18 via Sire. The CD was recorded with producer Tim Palmer (U2, SWITCHFOOT, HOT HOT HEAT) and co-producer Hiili Hiilesmaa at Finnvox Studios in Finland.

With "Venus Doom", the band's sixth album, HIM fans can anticipate a decisively heavier sound, influenced by BLACK SABBATH, old-school METALLICA and SOUNDGARDEN, among others.

if all tours were like this where the emo and metalcore kids stick together on their own shitty shows then noone would give a damn but when they get on slayer tours and other metal tours and such is when it just gets annoying

That's a fucked up combination. You might not like Bleeding Through, but I've gotta say they put on a good live show.

In other news, Sodom are touring the US in April/May.

Bleeding Through are ok...at least they put on a good show.

Tours were like this where the emo and metalcore kids stick together on their own shows are fine, at least you don't have balding long-haired guys with black metal shirts...you know the ones with white logos that you can't read and that look like a big white stain, yeah those ones....wouldn't be there with their gay-as-fuck camo pants and leather wristbands to bitch all night.

COMMENT | Calgary and Edmonton..

Well this pretty much slammed the door on the remaining respect I had for Bleeding Through.

Why have you lost respect for them? Is it because they are on a tour with a band that doesent sound like everyone else? Give me a fucking break dude.

Metalcore will soon be dead, and for a band to try and regain popularity they have to tour with a band with an actual fanbase who will stick by the band(Papa roach playing graspop anyone?)...and whys that? because they are original- HIM have not jumped on a bandwagon of musical style like these idiots and many more, when your sittin watching boring ass Kerrang or Scuzz, can you honestly think of another mainstream band that sound like HIM? not the biggest fan in the world of this band but its a breath of freshair to hear something that doesent sound like everything else. And would you idiots get your facts straight, HIM are not in anyway emo, emo is a form of music, not a lyrical theme, HIM play gloomy gothic rock with metal influences (expecially Doom)....maybe not every fan of this band is as educated as myself on this, but to me and many others you people are making asses of yourselfs and im pretty much done here whipping the floor with your narrow minds.

Good day.

Bleeding Through fucking Owns live, Brandon is one of the most pissed off, insane front-men ever! I saw him hang upside-down from the rafters at a show in SF once, fucking king of the jungle.

I wouldn't know what HIM even sounds like, I dont waste my time or polute my ears with that pussy ass modern cock rock. So thats how you justify this?? Cause HIM are original and Bleeding Through need them cause metalcore is dying?? When is metalcore going to die?? It's been around since the early 80's.

I knew Bleeding Through lost the edge on their last album. Just an emo band in disguise and this is coming from someone who really enjoys "this is love, this is murderous". I also agree they are good live.

Whatever, I'm to busy listening to FAR superior music than both of these bands put together.

Good Day sir and dont forget to get that heartagram tattoo.

Isa, are you saying Bleeding Through jumped on the metalcore trend? if so, you're sadly mistaken. They have been around a while, Brandan was in Eighteen Visions before going full time with BT.

Only more pissed vocalist in the scene is Pettibone from Himsa.

I happened to watch BT's set though from the San Diego stop of the MM/Slayer show .. and they didn't play ANYTHING off thier "Portrait" album. Pretty lame. They need to do a good club tour with some similar bands.

Oh and HIM isn't really original at all. I hear they get booed pretty bad as well at Project Revolution haha.

and has the right influences, inspiring their madness. Wicked tracks: RIP OUT THE WINGS OF A BUTTERFLY, MY SWEET 666, BURIED ALIVE BY LOVE, PRETENDING, JOIN ME IN DEATH and their killer covers of Neil Diamond's SOLITARY MAN and Lee Hazlewood's SUMMER WINE.

LIVE? The crowd roared like a lion; the rock and roll was excellent. It whipped the camel's ass with a belt. HIM can really rock it to Russia
