I absolutely love Mastodon and thing that Blood Mountain is a masterpiece.
That being said, everyone I know who has met Brent Hinds has said he was a complete dick, and that he made an concerted effort to do so. He even tries his hardest to be a dick in a lot of interview...
So if he was bludgeoned, I guess I understand.
Maybe this will cool him out. I've known some cats that needed a severe head injury to straighten up and respect the people around them.

Tommy Lee and the guy who shot up Tupac's car in 1996 were out scoping for Kid Rock. When Kid didn't show up, they knew they had to do something to make themselves feel badass. Guy who shot Tupac wanted to gun for 50 Cent, but Tommy knew 50 would probably survive and come back for revenge. So they beat up Brent Hinds instead. I'm pretty sure thats the truth.

I met Brent at Download this year and he was such a cool guy. Got my picture taken with him and my mate gave him his beer. I really do hope he is ok, as I'm a huge fan of Mastodon and a huge fan of Brent.
