TAAKE Frontman Is Once Again A Free Man

According to a posting on TAAKE's official web site, the group's frontman, Hoest, is once again a free man after serving a prison sentence for undisclosed offenses.
Commented Hoest: "There's been a lot of rumors and misunderstandings lately, so to make things a bit more clear: This was my third incarceration for violence."
He added: "All material for the next TAAKE album has been complete for a while and will be recorded as soon as possible. Furthermore, we will perform at Garage (Bergen) on the 8th of November."
Hoest (photo#1, photo#2, photo#3) found himself at the center of controversy in March after he appeared on stage in Essen, Germany with a swastika symbol drawn on his chest. According to an article published in the March 26 edition of the Norwegian newspaper Bergens Tidende, TAAKE's record label, Dark Essence Records, has indicated that it may terminate its relationship with the band as a result of TAAKE's behavior at the Essen concert.
TAAKE's third album, "Doedskvad", was released in 2005 via Dark Essence Records. The band had previously released two albums on the Wounded Love label: "Nattestid..." (1999) and "Bjoergvin" (2002). "Doedskvad" is the last installment in this trilogy.

As much as Over Bjoergvin Graater Himmerik is masterpiece, this band is made out of morons. Corax is still in jail for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend in the neck.

Black Metal sucks. People who like it are just deluding themselves. Ok, maybe 1% is OK, but Taake isn't in that catagory. What did this guy go to jail for anyway? An undisclosed reason? Is he a child moleter or something? I wouldn't be surprised. Black Metallers must have small penises. Why else are they so angry. I mean, come on, how rough can it be living in Norway?

black metal is great, some of the most atmospheric music around, especially the "wall of sound" stuff. taake isn't the best out there (drudkh, kvist, enslaved, windir, diabolical masquerade, etc, imho) but it's decent, and i'd wager very few of the folks making comments on here and talking shit have ever heard any.
also, every taake story on here every few months seems to feature the dick pics, it's almost like the blabbermouth author who posts them keeps them around...

There are about 5,000 bands that sound and look exactly like this! No originality at all. That's actually the problem with most black metal today. If it doesn't sound exactly like the few respected "original bands" in the genre then it's not "true" or it's not "kult". The whole thing is fucking gay! Black metal started out as a very refreshing genre of metal with an exciting element of danger....now it's a genre that can't even get out of it's own way!!!! Snore.................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

As a fan of Black Metal, I can only say anyone who believes Black Metal is the only "true" form of Metal is an idiot, much like the members of Taake appear to be. That said, I'm gonna need to check them out if the music is as good as people here are claiming.
