TOOL To Tour West Coast In November/December
- Sep. 27, 2007
|
|
|
Although no dates are officially confirmed at this point, it appears that TOOL will be touring the West Coast of the USA from mid-November until Christmas. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.
TOOL released its latest album, "10,000 Days", in the spring of 2006, five years after its previous effort, "Lateralus". The group intends to stay on tour until at least the end of 2007 before taking a break, but bassist Justin Chancellor told The Pulse of Radio that he doesn't think fans will have to wait another half decade for the next TOOL record. "Honestly, I don't know," he said. "We're in the second year of this tour already and it won't be long before people have said it's five years already. If we finish touring by, say, next January or February, once we've taken a little time off, it's almost unavoidable that it's gonna be a little while. I mean, honestly, I think everyone's getting a bit older, and I have a feeling we'll want to get on with it sooner than later this time."
Billboard reported several months ago that TOOL is mulling the idea of making a band movie. Guitarist Adam Jones said, "We all have ideas about it. If I had my way, it would be a narrative story in a surreal fashion with as much money and special effects as we could throw at it...It's just talk right now."
PUSCIFER, the side project of TOOL frontman Maynard James Keenan, will release its debut album, "V Is for Vagina", on October 30 via Puscifer Entertainment.

people gots to be bashing on the Tool? MJK and the boys are excellent musicians, all bout the art and music. Don't do commercials or very many interviews and don't plaster their faces on videos. Their music Jams, even thier weakest efforts are better than 99% of the crap that's out there. And if you don't like em, why get all bent out of shape about them, jeepers, just don't listen to them. Nobodys forcing you to listen to Tool. Ya big poo poo heads!!

First off, Tool is an amazing band and 10,000 Days is an amazing record. But I was wondering what happened to Justin. I saw them in MA and Maynard was singing AND playing the bass parts! Playing it well I might add. Awesome show. Anyone know what happened to Justin?

No shit. The grammar one sees throughout Blabbermouth threads really makes one want to call Washington DC and ask where the hell all the taxes are going since it's obviously not going to the public school system.

I saw tool in athens last december along with mastodon and I have to say that they really suck. They play 8 tracks and the rest is psychedellic noise and believe me, it is really boring. I have seen more than 30 big groups perform and this was the one time that I wanted to leave the concert and ask for a refund. save your money and buy their CDs. it is better to sit on your coach and listen to their music than to see them on stage, except of course if you are excited about seeing their lasers and projections.

Fuckinblaze,
The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
You could of saved yourself much time by starting and ending your comments with the your quote.
"I'll be honest here, I don't like Tool, never have and never will."
Ok we get it. So why write so much verbiage? Why so concerned?
I would hate for any of the bands you enjoy, what will you do then? Implode?
