AVENGED SEVENFOLD: Entire New Album Available For Streaming - Oct. 23, 2007
AVENGED SEVENFOLD will be the featured guests on the nationally syndicated "Loveline" radio show with hosts Stryker and Dr. Drew Pinsky tonight (Tuesday, October 23). You can stream the entire thing at www.kroq.com.

In other news, AVENGED SEVENFOLDnew self-titled album can be streamed in its entirety on MTV's The Leak at this location. Due on October 30, the CD follows up 2005's "City of Evil". It will arrive as both a standard CD and an interactive MVI disc.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD is giving fans a chance to create their own guitar solo for the band's latest single, "Almost Easy". Anyone who pre-orders the group's new self-titled album or buys it after it comes out on October 30 at the iTunes store will receive a bonus "jam-along" version of the track minus guitarist Synyster Gates' solo. Fans can then devise their own solo and upload it at AvengedSevenfold.com. The solo picked by Gates as the best will earn the winner a Synyster Gates signature model guitar from Schecter Guitar Research, autographed by the entire band, along with a pair of tickets to an upcoming show where they will meet AVENGED SEVENFOLD.

Lead vocalist M. Shadows told The Pulse of Radio that the band felt "Almost Easy" would set itself apart from other rock tracks as soon as it got on the radio. "Musically, it's just bad-ass," he said. "Like, we wanted to go with the first single being something that was gonna kick ass on the radio and didn't sound like anything else out there and kind of set us apart. Everything's so formula, and what we like about this song is not formula at all. But it's still somehow under four minutes, we've got two guitar solos in there, a guitar intro, a great bridge, bad-ass chorus and some slamming riffs."

AVENGED SEVENFOLD's music video for the band's new single, "Almost Easy", can be viewed below.

Quite possibly one of the worst albums I've ever heard.

To be honest, they were a band with potential and they make City of Evil and now this piece of garbage. Shame.

the fact the the people on blabbermouth hate avenged sevenfold is proof enough that they are great...for the most part the people on this board are so out of touch with what great music is...they listen to bullshit "real metal" bands that have been around for like 20 years and are still unknown....bunch of scrawny white kids living in their parents basements worshipping satan....losers....

Shadows is starting to sound a bit like Graham Bonnett...and that's not a bad thing. I'll give this one a few 'free' spins and see if it gets any better, but so far....meh.

Trendy, "Happy Driving Music" to listen to in your car while you chew gum and drive to Hot Topic. Uninspired, by-the-numbers pabulum.

Garbage. Seriously. There isn't a thing to like about this band.

Well there's atleast one thing. The intro to "Lost" is pretty cool up until the shitty altered vocals.

Sometimes it helps to keep an open mind about music, not everything should sound generic with detuned guitars, and cookie monster singing.

I for one really love the new album. Yes it takes a few listens to get into, but holy shit is it DIFFERENT. Lots of experimentation on the new disc, maybe too much to please everybody. "A Little Piece of Heaven" sounds like something that belongs on Tim Burton's "A Nightmare Before Christmas".. hahah.. but all in all I dig most of the album. "Bromptom Cocktail" and "Almost Easy" are my fav tracks. I even dig the Country undertones in "Gunslinger".

8.5/10

I really do love how much shit this band gets. I mean im not a huge fan post-waking the fallen, but i mean they get way more shit than they deserve. You guys should try to support the little metal that does get mainstream exposure, as it will open doors for other, better, bands to become successful. waking the fallen was actually a really good album imo. Mr Shadows could actually sing better back then when he was doing screams too.

IF YOU LIKE THIS BAND, CUT THE DOSAGE ON WHATEVER YOU ARE TAKING, SERIOUSLY PEOPLE TALK SHIT ON THIS BAND BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT GOOD. AND TO THE PEOPLE THAT SAY THAT THEY SOUND BETTER THAN ANY OBSCURED BAND IS RIDICULOUS. THOSE BANDS HAVE A FOLLOWING BECAUSE THEY ARE GREAT, NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE PLASTERED EVERYWHERE ON TV AND RADIO AND BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY CAN PLAY. EVEN IF AV7 WAS NOT THAT FAMOUS ID STILL THINK THEY SUCK EVEN BEFORE CITY OF EVIL. ANYWAY THIS BAND SHOULD NOT EVEN BE COMPARED TO SLAYER, EARLY METALLICA MEGADETH BLACK SABBATH JUDAS PRIEST IRON MAIDEN MOTORHEAD EXODUS TESTAMENT ANTHRAX NUCLEAR ASSAULT PANTERA AND SO FORTH BECAUSE A7X ARE NOT A QUARTER AS GOOD

I can't fucking believe that this is the same band that made Waking the Fallen - that album is so damn good - it's in my top 20-30 of all time, and that's saying alot. But this new one is complete and utter garbage. No one should be subjected to this shit.

for everytime someone says "complete and utter...." on this board. A7X is a great band and I've been following them since "Waking the Fallen." Thier first album had a little to much hardcore influence for my taste but wasn't bad. I havn't heard any of the new stuff yet, but alot of you Blabberbashers hate bands simply for the fact that they're popular. It makes me sick to be associated with alot of metalheads. My favorite bands are Metallica, Shadows Fall, Dark Tranquillity, Quo Vadis, Behemoth, Arsis, and Iced Earth to name a few. I listen to bands that are good, no matter whether they're popular or completely obscure. Why can't all metalheads actually be open-minded like they claim to be? Worthless dicks.

I own my own home, have a successfull career and obviously enjoy the classic metal (please note lots of them are still touring 20 years later). I do like some of the new metal. With that said, ASF really suck. They hire musicians to write most of the riffs and are metal's version of the Backstreet Boys. Perfectly placed eyeliner and used up video images; a total letdown to the true metal consumers. Mercyful Fate, Exodus, Napalm Death, Priest, are old enough to be their grandfathers and STILL put to shame the crap coming out of the bowels of MTV.

I'm probably one of the few metalheads who appreciate Avenged Sevenfold, probably because I don't judge them by their videos/singles. Waking The Fallen is my fave by them but City of Evil really stepped things up musically, songs like Sidewinder and Wicked End are great examples of what they are capable of. This new record is more commercial, and the sad fact is they are only going to get more commercial. The joys of major labels.
