Report: DISTURBED Digs Deep On 'Brutal' New Album

Gary Graff of Billboard.com reports: Heavy, dark and "pissed-off" are the operative terms for DISTURBED's new album, according to frontman David Draiman. Draiman tells Billboard.com that the quartet is about 12 songs into the set, which DISTURBED is producing itself in Chicago. Tentatively titled "Indestructible", it's due out in the spring of 2008 via Warner Bros. "We're probably going to track 15 (songs), and we'll put 12 on the record," Draiman says. The album's tone, he adds, is directly inspired by "a f*cked-up couple of years" in his personal life — including a motorcycle accident, a garage fire that destroyed his truck and motorcycle, and "a number of bad relationships." "When we first discussed what we were going to be shooting for, vibe-wise, on the record," Draiman recalls, "I said, 'Guys, listen, my head is in a really in a f*cked-up place. Give me the nastiest, darkest, most brutal sh*t you can throw at me, and I'll write to it.'" Read more at Billboard.com.

And then you listen all this singles on the radio and see how "brutal" they are.

Its' not just Disturbed. It seems like every third band I read about that is working a new album claims that it's there "most brutal, most heavy, most dark, hardest rocking blah blah blah"

The album has 10 melodic songs that include the heaviest, most intense and on the other hand the most intimate moments we've been able to capture so far.
Having already supported such international acts as HATEBREED, FOZZY, PRIMAL FEAR and SKINLESS, SLAVE ZERO is said to be "extremely pleased to be added to the heaviest bill Ireland has seen this year!"
According to a press release, "Emotional Coma" is "the heaviest and most powerful LION'S SHARE record to date"
DIAMOND HEAD's new album, "What's In Your Head?", was released on July 30. The CD was previously described by the band as "a powerful but varied collection of songs." The album includes the song "Reign Supreme", which is said to be "the heaviest track DIAMOND HEAD have recorded since 'Am I Evil?'"

I heard what happened was, he was riding his motorcycle with 4 girls on the back. Then he crashed it. Into his garage, which caught on fire and burned his motorcycle and truck to the ground. Then 3 of the 4 ladies took off cuz he's a loser... and the 4th that stayed gave him herpes.

- WTF is the point of that? So you can hold 3 songs for the next shitty writer's block album? Why don't you just copy the first 3 songs on the album and make them tracks 13, 14, and 15 as well. Like you did with tracks 4-12.

Disturbed has always been a great band, and just because a bunch of negative, over-criticizing posers on this site won't change that.. You so called "metal-heads" ironically don't even know what metal is. Disturbed would rather approach rock with a more melodic step these days, so who the fuck are you assholes to criticize them about music? So Draiman doesnt scream about killing something or hating everything repetetively over and over again.. Its been done over and over again, so seek some fucking therapy if thats what you want to hear in every song you listen to. You attack Draimans personal life; downgrade the bands success (which has reached number one on the market TWICE now if i might add) and belittle them when in truth if any of you started a band NONE of you could sell half a record.. so shut the fuck up and go comment on one of the bands you actually like.. And if any of you stupid fucks don't like what I'm saying, go play in fucking traffic.. Cant wait to hear this album.
