DIMEBAG: First Official Photo Book, 'DimeVision Vol. 2' DVD Coming Next Year - Nov. 14, 2007
HELLYEAH/ex-PANTERA drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott has issued the following update:

"HELLYEAH's first DVD, 'Below the Belt', is in stores now. Pick it up anywhere — it's a way to live a day in the life of the HELLYEAH band and our rowdy crew.

"We are shooting our video for 'Thank You' in Dallas, Texas at The Palladium the night before Thanksgiving, November 21st... then the party moves to The Clubhouse so bring your ass and let's make it the video and party of the year!

"HELLYEAH will be on tour until December 15th and possibly into next year.

"I wanna thank everyone for making my return to music a great experience! It's been awesome!

"Please keep sending demos as I will get some time to focus on the label (Big Vin Records) early next year and plan on signing a few bands...

"Also, 'Dimevision 2' [DVD tribute to late PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott] is coming along and the first official photo book for Dime is being put together by me and my Dad and will be out next year too. We are very excited about this as it's a true tribute to the King himself!"

"Below the Belt" contains footage going back to the formation of HELLYEAH, including the group's first recording session, the making of its self-titled debut album and various stops on the group's ongoing world tour, as well as personal interviews and other features. The two-hour DVD also includes videos, backstage clips, footage from the band's April record release party and a look inside Chasin' Jason, the studio once owned by late PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott where HELLYEAH recorded.

Singer Chad Gray, who also fronts MUDVAYNE, told The Pulse of Radio that HELLYEAH likes to bring a light-hearted attitude to playing in a band. "Being on the road and touring and playing shows is, like, fun," he said. "You know, to get all in your, you know, leather and your spikes and get up and be all serious and mean and whatever, it's like, that's just not the vibe of our band. We just have a good time with it and people seem to respond to that kind of HELLYEAH vibe, you know, just like, let's have a good time, you know."

The latest single from HELLYEAH's record is "Alcohaulin' Ass".

It sucks to lose Dimebag in such a shitty way, and i know it's his family, but all this product smells of Cashing in. I dont want to have this opinion, but some days I cant help it. I was just at a Down show Sunday, and there we're 3 mentions of Dime in over 2 hours worth of show. But Phil and Rex are not pushing Merchandice, DVDs, and books and shit. Anyone else see Dime's "Old lady" on L.A. Ink? They are making any legit tributes seem like cheap publicity stunts, I cant stand it.

COMMENT | Bullshit.

I know this is a Dimebag story, but let's not get away from the main subject here. And that's what a crappy band Hellyeah really is. Don't get me wrong - I love Pantera.....Vinnie Paul's one of my favorite drummers.....and I really liked the Damageplan record. But, Vinnie's drumming is JUST NOT enough for me to listen to the Hellyeah cd. I realise that he was ready to play again, but damn!! It's not good. I listened to it several times. I just can't get used to it. I don't see how a band can put out mediocre music and still be considered successful. And since people are going out and seeing the tour, they're absolutely going to record another cd. So this shit ain't over yet.....and that's too bad. Cause Vinnie could get with a GOOD band and put out some killer shit.

Very disappointed.

as a result I feel the new Mudvayne is going to suffer and this will be their last album with Chad at least. I am ok with that though as I feel the band wants to go in a more progressive direction but keeps getting an ear full of radio shit from him. Listen to Hellyeah if you dont believe me. I think for Vinnie he could be in a lot better band. I love how Mudvayne and Nothingface were both in the process of getting new albums going and suddenly their members ditch them for the first sign of $$ to make an album with Vinnie. New Mudvayne song sucks and its because Chad ruins it.

He's a legend, was a good guy...he's maybe the Jimi Hendrix of metal as far as placing him in that context concerning his demise.

Never understood why he was lauded in the guitar world, but there you go.. Yeah, its a shame for anyone to be shot in the face in front of people and all, but I'm not a fan, so what do I know? I saw Pantera years ago at Donnington, and had never even heard of them before, and there wasnt anything that won me over then either. But, horses for courses.
Have to say though, this release does look a little bit like a cash in.. or maybe thats the way that Blabbamouth is reporting t- just to incite the flames and the "$" posts.

Dimebag was a legend and great guitarist and it pisses me off now how everyone wants to make money from his death, dean making custom guitars and every person who knew or played with dimebag mentions him or dedicates things to him just to be in the media, i can understand his brother mentioning him, dime was killed 3 foot infront of him by some nutter, but people making money from his name should be stopped.

There's no need for Dimevision 2. Dimevision 1 bored the crap out of me, it was like a 2nd rate Vulgar Videos (it's really an insult to the Vulgar Videos to mention them in the same sentence as Dimevision). And this is coming from a longtime Pantera fan.

There needs to be 65442 more Dimevisions. I can never get enough of Dimebag's stuff! I'll gladly pay the $15 for being able to see moments from my guitar hero's life. Thank you for sharing them with us Vinnie!!!!!

yeah, I WONT be buying hell (no) because I like better music.

Sorry Vince!

love the dimevision, RIP brother dime.
Cant wait till part 2.

But Im not giving my money to Vinnie Paul, Rita, or Dean.
As I see it, Vinnie and rita as well as Dean are all evil.

My father died in Septerber of that year, so yeah the WHOLE damn year sucked for me. Im not selling his crap to make a cheap buck, and yeah... it is the same, when I can go out and get a nice $10,000 from my dads stuff...

Phil is more "grown up" about the matter.

I think you are wrong to say his family are cashing in on his death. Perhaps Vinnie and his dad are just trying to find a way for those who loved Dimebag as much as they do to remember him. To say that one own family is cashing in is a very cold blooded thing. Before you go thinking that Vinnie and his dad are cashing in or selling out Dime atleast think of it on the other side. The DVDs are a great tribute to his life an awesome way to remember him. You may mention Down with Phil talking very little but you all forgot to mention Zakk Wylde from Black Label Society Zakk and Dime were best friends and every concert he plays his tribute song to Dime "In this River". Dimebag Abbot Darell was a beautiful soul and a great talent.
