FALL OUT BOY Covers PANTERA; Video Available - Nov. 26, 2007
EVERY TIME I DIE singer Keith Buckley joined FALL OUT BOY onstage for a cover of PANTERA's "Walk" on November 19 in Buffalo, New York. This reportedly took place during a secret FALL OUT BOY show at the Mohawk Place where they performed under the name SCHRUTE FARMS.

Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be viewed below.

that i don't even know where to start.

surely this is a harbinger of the end of the world.

no one wearing an emo hoodie should be allowed to play a pantera song.

no one currently dating one of the simpson sisters should be allowed to play a pantera song.

no one who knows what a chi is (and owns one) should be allowed to play a pantera song.

for that matter, no one matching the above criteria should theoretically even know who the fuck pantera WAS....which is the truly bizzarre thing.

how on earth did this abomination occur???? seriously, WTF.

if nothing else, i suppose FOB found out what it feels like to be a real band for maybe three minutes. (minus the guitar solo of course)

i'll wait for hellyeah's cover of "sugar we're goin' down" with baited breath.....not really

outside of not attempting the solo, it actually doesn't sound terrible. that's probably due to the fact it's not a difficult song. but deal with it, at least one of their members proudly listens to metal and has no problem paying homage to a legendary band. they in no way had to do anything like this, nor was it expected, so good for them for thinking outside the box.

that many emo bands were fans of slayer, iron maiden, metallica, megadeth, iron maiden, judas priest, pantera, celtic frost, at the gates. bathory, Black Sabbath, DRI, Fear Factory and other metal bands, and many are still fans. its just that emo is easier to play and is more acceptable to a young public that would buy up anything. I have even heard guys in Fall out boy say that they own every slayer album and are big metal fan and even more using emo as a stepping stone into metal like the guy from sum 41, I bet many of those guys would tather play a metal song than a generic emo song

FOB has more then every right to cover that song. They have more of a right then more then half of you so called metalheads have to even listen to the song. Everyone in FOB have come from metal and hardcore bands prier to starting FOB. Just becuz they were able to broden there musical taste doesnt mean they are no longer allowed to be metal fans. 10 bucks say probably all the members of FOB have been to a Pantera show, or atleast been fans longer then most of you!
