SCOTT WEILAND Is A No-Show At VELVET REVOLVER's SUNDANCE Concert

VELVET REVOLVER frontman Scott Weiland was a no-show for the band's scheduled performance last night (Sunday, January 20) at the 944 Magazine's party at Tao during the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. According to PageSix.com, "speculation from inside the band's camp said the singer had missed his flight to Sundance for the performance, but that didn't stop his bandmates from literally asking the crowd if they wanted to have a go." "It's was crazy, they were inviting anyone who wanted to get up sing," an onlooker told PageSix.com. A short clip of VELVET REVOLVER/ex- GUNS N' ROSES drummer Matt Sorum taking on the vocal duties for VELVET REVOLVER's rendition of the GN'R classic "Patience" during the Tao concert can be viewed below. Photos from last night's event can be found at Getty Images. Weiland was expected to appear in a Los Angeles courtroom last Thursday (January 17), where his recent DUI case was to be continued. The singer was charged with driving under the influence of drugs after being pulled over by police in late November. VELVET REVOLVER will begin a new U.S. tour on January 24 in Chicago, with dates confirmed through February 9.

I'm not a VR fan or a big Weiland fan, but did you posters even read the fucking article??? It said he missed his flight! Said nothing about him being too strung out or just pulling an Axl and not showing up...he missed his fucking flight. Don't think too hard into this...I wouldn't want you to hurt yourselves.

'Speculation', by its very definition, means THEY DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE WHAT HAPPENED.
Meaning, MAYBE he missed his flight, MAYBE he didn't!
What the two of you dopes are missing is that, had Weiland bothered to call and let them know what's going on, there would be no need for the band to SPECULATE.

If you had a concert to be at and all the rest of your band was there..ON TIME!! and you can't make your flight on time, either the world is against you or you just keep fuckin up (as evidenced by his umpteenth arrest) I keep rooting for this guy to turn it around but it seems he just doesn't get it. Oh well, VR is nothing to cry too much about losing anyway so......go GN'R lol

I'm not so sure about making the flight, but I do figure that instead of the jet, VR is on it's way to a crash and burn. It is so friggen obvious. Weiland even said in an earlier article that STP would be getting back together. Kind of like cheating on your wife with your old girl friend and the wife knows about it. WTF do you think is going to happen in the NEAR future! GNR reuntion looks more evident since Chinese Democracy is coming out. Axl needs to pay those production costs somehow.

Not really a fan of VR, but awesome that they still went on with the show. I like STP but Scott Weiland never interested me in VR. Sebastian Bach and Josh Todd were both much better candidates.
