PRETTY BOY FLOYD's Original Lineup Is Back

For the first time in 17 years, all four original members of PRETTY BOY FLOYD — Steve "Sex" Summers, Kristy "Krash" Majors, Vinnie Chaz and Kari Kane — are bringing back the infamous stage show (along with the notorious image) that made them the hottest band in Hollywood in the '80s and will be performing their classic debut album "Leather Boys With Electric Toys" in its entirety, along with other surprises! The first show will be a special intimate warm-up club concert in Hollywood on March 1 at Club Vodka, followed by very select special festival-type appearances. Formed in 1987, PRETTY BOY FLOYD is most famous for its 1989 LP "Leather Boyz With Electric Toyz" and the two singles from it, "Rock and Roll (Is Gonna Set the Night on Fire)" and "I Wanna Be With You". The band broke up in 1991, but reformed in 1995, and has released several new records since then. PRETTY BOY FLOYD's "Rock and Roll (Is Gonna Set the Night on Fire)":

great!!!!! WHY????? I seriously can't understand, is there really that big of a demand for theses guys????...their album cover looked cool back in the day....but thats really about it. Even then ...wasn't it like a rip off of KISS album cover?

They should call the tour the "Stroking our own Ego's Tour"......I've seen them a couple of times and just wonder why the original line up would be of interest to anyone.......they jumped on the glam bandwagon right after it blew a wheel.......

I'm glad that we don't have this type of crossdressing style band around in abundance anymore. There's always a place for this type of music and there have been a million better glam bands who haven't felt the need to wear more make up than there Mom and have made some good music. PBF were average at best - they had there 15 minutes of fame - they should have left it at that.

Saw these guys play a few years ago. The crowd was me and two friends. We were the opening band. There were about 50 people there to see us and everyone left when they came on. We stayed because we felt bad.

We used to put this video on just to laugh at it. We would fuckin sit there and ....fuckin....laugh. This was the end of the line for that era of music. Crap like this left the door wide open and grunge came in soon after. Many years after it has stayed consistant thru time. It blows.

That was a cool thing for you guys to do.Probably kept them from crying and ruining their make up, and as a woman, when your make up runs i can tell you it aint pretty..so they would have had to chang their band name.

The album is only 35 minutes long? Even as an opening band they should've been able to do that!
It's been how long since that album came out? It's not like it's a "classic" or anything. Really, is there anybody who cares about these guys? I don't, and I once had the album!

Did you know that Kristy "Krash" Majors (guitarist) used to be in New York based thrash metal band called JETT BLAKK they were on a compilation lp L'Amour Rocks back in 1987 along with ATTACKER etc.

the only thing GAY is YOU....PRETTY BOY FLOYD RULES...they were the greatest hairband that never got mainstream recognition, but you wouldnt know that cuz you're too busy being GAY. Go back to watching South Park, and stop pretending to know anything about real music.

I saw Jett Blakk in 85 opening for The Ramones at a club called Sundannce on Long Island. They were good and totally different then PBF. If they do not do the Poison tour this summer then why bother.

I used to put them in that category of bands that over saturated the glam metal scene and led to its eventual demise. Then, a few years ago I saw them open up for Stephen Pearcy (Before the Ratt reunion) and they were fucking absolutely unreal live. It was a freezing night up in Albany and there wasn't many people there to begin with, nevermind Pretty Boy Floyd fans. I gotta say....they came on and rocked out as if they had 10,000 strong singing along with them. By the end of their performance, the whole crowd was into them. Been a big fan ever since then.

Um where is grunge???? OOOO yeah it's underneath the toilet seat. Ya know ,say what you want about this group Im sure they have heard it all before,but there seems to be a sudden burst for 80's music again thus resurrecting all these bands. I say fuck it bring em all back .All Metal is better than the crap floating around now....from the post grunge era....

So maybe there can be another shoegazer/ gothic metal revolution...On the metal side of alternative music and the rockers can have another grunge/ nu-metal/ mallcore revival.
Right now, I am listening to My Bloody Valentine " Isn't Anything" NO glam was not the only reason for the explosions of shoegazer, gothic metal, grunge, nu-metal. Do not forget all the chessey sellout/ poser albums from the NWOBHM and thrash metal armada's.
