IRON MAIDEN: Video Footage From Mumbai's Pre-Show Press Conference Posted Online - Feb. 1, 2008
IBN Live has posted video footage from IRON MAIDEN's press conference in Mumbai, India filmed shortly before the band's February 1 concert in the city's Bandra-Kurla Complex. Watch the report below.

Nearly 100,000 fans are expected to attend tonight's performance — the opening show of the IRON MAIDEN's Somewhere Back In Time - World Tour '08. The trek will revisit the band's incredible history by focusing almost entirely on the '80s in both choice of songs played and the stage set, which will be based around the legendary Egyptian production of the 1984-85 Powerslave tour. This will arguably be the most elaborate and spectacular show the band have ever presented, and will include some key elements of their Somewhere In Time tour of 1986/7, such as the Cyborg Eddie.

DNA reported that MAIDEN's private jet landed in India on Tuesday (January 29) and the band has been put up at JW Marriot. On Wednesday, the band members were expected to be all over town shopping. They had apparently expressed their desire to visit the Ajanta and Ellora caves as well. IRON MAIDEN had reportedly made it clear that they didn't want to involve any celebrities in their tour schedule.

"They will have an after-party post the gig and will be then flying out on February 2 morning to Australia," said Utsav Agarwal, Event Manager, Virgin Records. "The Indian market is opening up big time as far as heavy metal is concerned and this is good news for all the fans in here."

The Indian band PARIKRAMA is opening the show for IRON MAIDEN. "This is our fourth concert in less than a year," said Subir Malik of PARIKRAMA. "We toured with them at the Download festival in the UK and have grown up listening to them. We could have never imagined that we will play with them one day."

I was on the phone with technical support when I heard the support guy named 'Steve' shout 'And the ship it sinks like lead into the sea!!!' and then silence followed by dial tone.

It was then when I realized that my tech support encounter was abruptly ended

Now I know what happened. The douchebag quit his job to see frickin' maiden!

One hell of a setlist though, I do have to say...
