JUDAS PRIEST, HIM, LOSTPROPHETS Confirmed For UK's DOWNLOAD Festival

According to Kerrang! magazine, this year's Download festival will take place at Castle Donington, UK the weekend of June 13-15 and will be headlined by Welsh rockers LOSTPROPHETS, Orange County punkers THE OFFSPRING and one other as-yet-undisclosed legendary rock band (strongly rumored to be KISS). Other bands confirmed for this year's festival include metal gods JUDAS PRIEST and Finnish love metallers HIM. Tickets for Download 2008 will go on sale on February 8 at 9:00 a.m. Prices are as follows: a full weekend ticket: £130, standard camping: £20, camper van: £40, family zone camping: £20, lockers: £11, parking £10 in advance or £15 on the day. There will be a variety of ticket packages available to buy, including the RIP packages (a VIP package) from £315. For Club or VIP Experience packages, please call 020 7009 3484 to discuss your requirements. Disabled customers can call 0121 767 9729 to discuss accessibility arrangements. I think something is wrong if the friggin Offspring get to headline and Priest don't. Actually, I feel that is an insult to probably one of the most influential metal bands of all time.

Horrendous Line Up, worse than last year, this is Donington one of the landmarks of metal, awful, absolutely awful, but yay for Priest.

Priest not Headlining? Thats a fucking joke. Lostprophets, yes are talented musicians but not headliners. I thought MCR was bad last year, but come on. Well I know where i'm gonna go for my festival, and it's bloody Wacken Open Air. or Bloodstock.

The only good bands on that list so far are Judas Priest, and Kiss (Maybe). Id prefer not to see a show with emo bands, and pussy MTV pop rock bitch bands.
If this list gets any worse it will prove my fact that Download will always be the 2nd best to US shows.

Judas Priest not a headlining band?... That is a disgrace! And the first two headliners are awful, not only are they terrible bands but they really aren't of the calliber or status that you'd expect of headlining bands for what is supposed to be one of the world's most legendary music festivals! Download is no longer metal, its pathetic how commercial and trend driven it has become. Even if Kiss do headline a day it would not be enough to make me go... plus the price! Wacken and Bloodstock all the way!

They really have got it wrong this time - they're running out of big bands they can get it seems. Regardless Judas Priest aren't a headliner? WTF?!
Bloodstock is the only choice for metalheads - and it's cheap too.

That is mocking, PRIEST in UK not HEADLINING at donnington. That is just pathetic. Just shows what music and times have come to. I actually enjoy some offspring, but to have them headline over rock legends JUDAS PRIEST is just bullshit. if i was in offspring i would be embarrassed.
