According to RollingStone.com, EVANESCENCE's Amy Lee, who attended last night's Grammy Awards in Los Angeles with bandmate Terry Balsamo, wasn’t disturbed by the fact that ex-bandmates were lurking in the crowd. "I haven't seen anybody and everything has been cool and relaxed," she said. "We're just happy to be here. We've been through a lot with everything in this album ['The Open Door'], so it's an incredible album and a surprise."

EVANESCENCE debuted its new lineup last May at the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio. The touring band now includes guitarist Troy McLawhorn and drummer Will Hunt, both of DARK NEW DAY, who replaced John LeCompt and Rocky Gray.

LeCompt and Gray started playing with EVANESCENCE in 2002, before they were Grammy-honored as 2003's "Best New Artist."

At present, John LeCompt is writing and recording new songs with former FUTURE LEADERS OF THE WORLD vocalist Phil Taylor for the full-length debut from his new band, MACHINA. The lineup also includes bassist Thad Ables and drummer Rocky Gray, LeCompt's fellow EVANESCENCE alumnus. Longtime friends, John and Rocky have also played together in the groups KILL SYSTEM, SOUL EMBRACED and MOURNINGSIDE.
