NIKKI SIXX: 'MÖTLEY CRÜE Has Not Signed Any Deals' - Feb. 11, 2008
MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx has denied that the band has signed a $100-million-plus mega-deal with the giant Live Nation entertainment conglomerate.

"MÖTLEY CRÜE has not signed any deals," Nikki said in a statement. "Any information reported to the contrary is false and misleading."

The news of a supposed MÖTLEY CRÜE/Live Nation deal was reported earlier today by Robin Leach via his blog "Vegas Luxe Life with Robin Leach". The alleged deal was to cover three albums and three world tours, including no less than 169 concert dates as part of the first global journey.

"We'll actually have been together for 37 years by the time it comes to an end," singer Vince Neil was quoted as having told Leach.

Vince, who is scheduled go off next month on a solo tour of Canada, allegedly told Leach that the first of the three long world tours would start this July.

CRÜE is well into the creation of its new studio album, which will be titled "The Dirt" and based on the band's 2001 memoir of the same name. Bassist Nikki Sixx wrote in a new online update, "10 songs done for the new CRÜE album so far, I'm very proud of the songs. I think we're onto some of the better songs we've had in years...Time will tell, of course. A couple of song titles on the CRÜE album are called 'A Scar On Hollywood Boulevard' and 'The Saints Of Los Angeles'... The chemistry in the studio as we're writing is unbelievable."

Nikki Sixx will be featured on a new Fuse TV program called "Live through This" which documents music stars that have made a comeback. The show will air on Thursday, February 21 at 10 p.m.

especially if a large part was guaranteed upfront. Motley Crue has no future beyond the nostalgia circuit.

Ah duh...it's like the first batch of new songs since New Tattoo which was 2000 (except of the Crue hits cd)...it's like 2008, it'll had been years since your last release.

"A couple of song titles on the CRÜE album are called 'A Scar On Hollywood Boulevard' and 'The Saints Of Los Angeles'... "

Also there will be a couple of cover song b-sides like 'I was Born in East LA' and 'That theme from 90210"

and last but not least

"The chemistry in the studio as we're writing is unbelievable."

WTF...every other month Tommy Lee is not in the band, then he's back in, then Nikki hasn't talked to Tommy, then Tommy is on a worldwide DJ tour. Also, Vince is either playing solo gigs, or attending grand openings to titty bars somewhere in between gigs. Ans good old Mick is just killing time in an old folks home.

Who in the hell is exactly in the studio with you Nikki?

I'm sure the 'chemistry' is unbelievable! There's cocaine, crack, heroin and amyl nitrates everywhere! These junkies never got the monkey off their backs, there addicted worse than they ever were. Everyone in Hollywood knows this, these junkies can be seen smacked out of their heads all the time.

So Nikki is denying a mulitmillion dollar deal ever took place? Is Tommy in or out? Why is Vince discussing it like it's a done deal? They have new songs for a new record but no record deal?

Like usual, these tools don't know what they're doing or talking about. Motley Crue is the Kramer of rock music- they've stumbled ass-backwards into success since 1983. A string of half-baked to downright-horrible albums starting with "Theatre of Pain" and continuing to the present, and they can still pack arenas?

Funny how they always say conflicting things. Whether it's Tommy or the tour, they're never on the same page
