IRON MAIDEN/BRITNEY SPEARS T-Shirt Spoof Released By 313 MERCH

313 Merch, the online clothing company launched by former SNOT/ AMEN bassist John "Tumor" Fahnestock, has just released its spoof on IRON MAIDEN's "Piece of Mind" art, entitled "It's Britney Bitch." Check out the t-shirt design at this location. 313 Merch is perhaps best known for having produced a now-discontinued t-shirt design called "KORN Gave Head to God" which poked fun at guitarist Brian "Head" Welch's 2005 departure from KORN in order to dedicate his life to Christianity.

MAIDEN has nothing to do with this shirt, but the company can still make it under US law, as this would fall under "fair use" as a spoof or parody.
Still, I hope they get an injunction simply because the art sucks. Not a bad idea, but poorly executed.

there's nothing Maiden about that shirt except the font. I was expecting Eddie-like artwork and an Eddie version of Britney. Pretty lame. They could've done so much better. The KORN shirt was way better.

Charging people to post on a board clears out the dumbshits and ensures a group of people who actually want to discuss the subject at hand instead of a bunch of retarded shit. Yes I am aware that I frequently shitpost on here too. I mean, if I had to pay to post on here I wouldn't call you a dried up stinky dicklicker but since I have nothing invested in this account I can post whatever stupid bullshit that comes to mind without any fear of reprisal. They ban me, I reregister. they ban my IP, I go through a proxy. Or post shit from work. Paying to post on a site might initially seem like a bad deal but I guess if you think the internet is serious business enough then you'd be willing to pay to post on it. If you care enough to post on a bands board you can deal with whether or not they want to charge you to post there. I wouldn't pay to post on Maiden's board either but my point is all band hock stuff and just because it's on the web makes it no exception. They are in the business of making money and if they charge for their board that's their business. I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt and hope we're both not taking this too seriously, but if people are bitching they should call their friends to talk about maiden, or visit the innumerable maiden sites out there and leave the official site to the "true" fans ort the ones dumb enough to spend money. Just for the record, you don't pay to post on the band's forum only. You do have access to other parts of their site like exclusive photos, diaries etc. You also get to buy pre-sale tickets which is a very good thing considering that our venues around here sell in under an hour.

Iron Maiden may lend their name somewhat freely to merchandising companies a lot these days unlike, say, the Ozzy era of Black Sabbath. But do you know what else Iron Maiden's been putting their name to unlike the Ozzy era of Black Sabbath?

That's right. It really doesn't matter what a band does in it's spare time. As long as the music doesn't suffer. Iron Maiden doesn't play music for anyone but themselves.
They can't have brought Blaze in and said to themselves, "this man will help us sell more records." They bought him in because they wanted to add a different dimension to their music.
And they definately weren't thinking they would please loads of people by playing their last album in full on tour. They just really enjoyed playing that album.
So what they make extra dough on the side? What the fuck is wrong with that? There is no requirement to suffer for you art. Pricks.
