GOJIRA To Enter Studio In April - Feb. 20, 2008
Having completed more than 220 shows in order to promote the acclaimed
"From Mars to Sirius" album, French metallers GOJIRA are putting the finishing touches on their new material which they plan to include on their new much-anticipated full-length offering, tentatively due in the fall. The as-yet-untitled new CD will be recorded between April and June and will be released through the French label Monslip/Warner in France and Listenable Records and various licensors in other parts of the world. The band will immediately embark on a series of major tours in Europe and throughout the U.S. right after the release.

"From Mars To Sirius" saw an August 2006 release through Prosthetic Records in North America and a September 2005 release in Europe through Listenable.

the end of this song (video) is the best polyrythmic part I've ever heard
they learned really well from Meshuggah/SYL

and I hope their next album will be a return to their roots : more Morbid Angel and less Opeth (even if I like Opeth)

I still prefer their 2 first albums to "From Mars to Sirius"

this shit is so boring. polyrythmic patterns don't mean that its good, it shows talent and precise playing but who cares. I like to hear a good tune that gets you going. This shit is pointless and boring

Gojira's still Gojira. Terra, Link, and Sirius each had their own flavor and featured good listenin's. I'm just looking forward to seeing them again. I saw them a few times the few times they toured through Dallas and they are pretty explosive.

i've found gojira to be catchy regardless of the polyrhythms, more so than meshuggah ever is.

They are like Metallica for the fact that their albums are great but their live show is where its at. Ive seen them twice now and both times they got the whole place movin. I love it when you can actually feel the double bass drums. Some bands have an awsome blast beat sound on their album then you see them live and you cant even tell. Gojiras drum shake the ground and force you to move your body whether your in the pit or not.

COMMENT | Kick ass band
