Reunited '80s Rockers HARLOW To Play This Year's ROCKLAHOMA - Mar. 4, 2008
'80s glam band HARLOW are back together after 15 years and are planning on releasing a new record, "Now and Then", in June on Retrospect Records.

Currently bassist-less, HARLOW has enlisted a few friends to lay down the bass tracks on the new record, including Steve Priest from THE SWEET and Jeff Pilson from DOKKEN, FOREIGNER and DIO. The band has also recruited Cherie Currie from THE RUNAWAYS and new artist Electra to do a few back-up vocals on the CD.

Mickey Kravitz (vocals), Hyland Church (guitar), Mike Rubyor (drums), Matt Cascio (guitar) were signed to Greenworld Records in 1986 and released the album "We Do What We Wanna Do" and the single "Rock the Box". Retrospect will reissue the first record along with five to six new songs.

In 2005 Cleopatra Records re-released the single "Rock the Box" on the box set "Hollywood Rocks" along with other '80s rockers POISON, L.A. GUNS, FASTER PUSSYCAT and GREAT WHITE.

HARLOW will perform at this year's Rocklahoma, which will be held July 10-13, 2008 at the Catch The Fever Festival Grounds, four miles north of Pryor, Oklahoma. The group is planing a contest on a Kansas City, Missouri radio station to fill the bass player spot. Winner of the contest will join HARLOW and play Rocklahoma and any other shows that come up.

I've never heard of them either, but they are working with some fairly well known guest musicians, so they must be more than some podunk bar band.

I was into this 80's metal, but even I think this lineup sucks! Tora Tora is the only one I am interested in. BTW Krokus is out from what I heard.

I haven't heard half of those bands, ever.

I live by this place but didn't go last year, and that lineup better get a lot better at 3 PM today or NO on this year too!

I have the cd that I bought as a cut out over 15 years ago. I know Todd Jensen (David Lee Roth, Hardline, Alice Cooper, Steve Perry, and Paul Rodgers) was in this band. Oh yeah Todd was also in Ozzy Osbourne's band for about 10 seconds back in 1994. I am sure that Tommy Thayer was in this band or at least one of the guys from Black N Blue was, well I know Jaime St. James wasn't.

I thought this was the "Harlow" from "Bands on the Run" on VH1.

Y'know, the one with Flickerstick (whatever the fuck happened to those douchebags?).

The Rocklahoma people are going to blow it if this lineup doesn't improve.

I'm with the rest of the people commenting....never heard of Harlow?

Yes, it was Tommy Thayer...but I think that was a totally different band. That band put out a cd on Giant Recirds I believe and they too had a female vocalist. Once again, not an original band, but good at what they did....You really can't go wrong with a guitarist like Tommy....also check out Shake The Faith.

Don't you have to have been well known in the first place for your big "reunion" to be big news? I think from reading these posts-Harlow(?) doesn't qualify.Nobody knew them in the first place. So their big "reunion" is meaningless...ppfffttt...

I'm glad that House of Lords is in for this year's Rocklahoma but so far it still looks like a relatively weak lineup. They need to add Dokken, Whitesnake, Extreme, Wasp, Grim Reaper, Crimson Glory(with Midnight) right away.
