MÖTLEY CRÜE To Make 'Colossal' Announcement In April - Mar. 17, 2008
All four ORIGINAL members of America's most notorious rock band MÖTLEY CRÜE will make a "colossal" announcement in Los Angeles on April 15 (location to be determined). According to a press release, "this will by far be one of the biggest music announcements of the year!!"

MÖTLEY CRÜE will fly out one lucky grand prize winner from each major city across the country for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to cover this announcement in Los Angeles and the chance to interview the band and have it broadcast live. Fans can go to this location for all of the details.

MÖTLEY CRÜE is currently working on the first full-length recording by the original lineup in more than a decade. According to bassist Nikki Sixx, "Tommy's [Lee, drums] kickin' ass, Vince [Neil, vocals] sounds insane and [Mick] Mars is shredding on guitars. It doesn't feel like one song is better or worse than any other. It feels so good to be excited about something you've worked on so hard... I'm so excited for you all to hear it."

The new CRÜE album, "The Dirt", named after the band's memoir of a few years back, is tentatively due out on July 8, with a world tour slated to commence around the same time.

We apologize for ever thinking Vince Neil could sing. We also realize getting John Corabi in the band and then yanking him to get Vince the tool back after making a kick-ass album was a huge error as well. We're admittng that we routinely put out albums with one or two good songs at best (often with one of them being a cover tune) and 8-9 stinkers yet somehow still played arenas, and we're sorry for such massive mediocrity. We're sorry we contributed virtually nothing yet were totally huge and had awful songs that were played out the ying yang while far better bands like Love/Hate, LA Guns, Sea Hags, and Vain toiled in small clubs.

I havent given a shit about the Crue in over 20 years but for the sake of accuracy I need to comment. MOTLEYBRIDEDISCIPLE its funny that you saw them on their first major headlining tour on the Theater of Pain tour. Funny, I was them more than once headlining MAJOR arenas on the Shout at the Devil Tour. If I recall, that was before theater of Pain. If you cant keep your facts straight save your bold proclamations for yourself. You lost your credibility, now shut the fuck up. BTW, Crue sucked live in 84 and have been steadily going downhill ever since.

Motley Crue played arenas on the "Shout" tour OPENING for Ozzy (Bark At The Moon tour). They only headlined theaters on that tour.
Theatre Of Pain WAS their first arena tour.

Now instead of bashing a band you don't like. Why don't you go support a band you do like.

I'm not gonna quote your whole post....but fuckin' A. I saw the same tour in Huntsville Alabama and I still remember it as one of the best shows I've ever attended. I was only 16 and the legend has only grown with time, but it ruled.
Some of their albums have been spotty since those days, but every band puts out an album that suffers from time to time. I've got high hopes for the new one. I will be downloading it the minute it leaks....but I will be buyig it on day one.
If you don't like the Crue, ignore it. And shut the fuck up. And why are you posting here in the first place if you don't like the band? Motley Crue is one of the great American rock bands that probably fucked your sister.

a bad Crue record is still better than any of shit you call"metal" that you losers listen to. yea guitars played as fast as possible with some growling and gunting over them now that's music! you losers are just jealous that the bands you like aren't talented enough to write hit songs and have the long term success of the crue and bands from the 80's still do. don't give me any of that well they don't want to bull, they don't have the key ingrediant and that would be talent and someone with a voice that can do more than grunt and groan.it seems bands and you mindless sheep who follow them have decided since we can't write or sing anything with a melody well start our own brand and lable anybody who has talent and the ablity to write melodic hard rock or metal as sell outs or wimps. well enjoy it while you can because nobody will be looking forward to a new record or tour from you in 5 let alone 20 years from now like the crue and the rest of those greeat 80's bands.

I hope the new Crue record has cool lyrics like this :

Where ya gonna be tomorrow?
How ya gonna face the sorrow?
Where ya gonna be when you die?
'Cause nothing's gonna last forever
And things they change like the weather
They're gone in the blink of an eye

or this :

I hear that you've slipped again
I'm here 'cause I know you'll need a friend

or even this :

You can lead him to the ambulance
But you cannot make him live
No, you cannot make me live!
You can lead him to the ambulance
Lead me home!
But you cannot make him live

And best ever :

I wish I had never kissed her
'Cause I just can't resist her

Yep. They'll suck.

You really think Motley Crue has been kicking ass for over 20 years?

You putz. Crue were dead in the water by the start of the 90's, and haven't been relevant since. By any math, that's a TEN year career. For years 11 through 20+, all they've managed are a PHONY book written by a ghost writer, a terrible 'greatest' hits collection, and a shitty reunion tour.

And that's being generous. You'll notice I left out the 'New Tattoo' turd they shit down our gullets in the late 90's..

Listen ladies, it's OK to be intellectually honest about your favorite bands.

By that, I mean simply, when a band is great, give them credit. But when a band takes a SHIT, be honest and call a spade a spade.

Motley Crue were great for their first two albums (three if you're a queer ass and actually liked Theater of Pain), but any HONEST Crue fan will admit they steadily declined afterward, with the notable exception of the brilliant Generation Swine album. At least they took chances on that one and showed some shred of intellect so completely absent on any other release post-Shout.

It's like the Jusdas Priest fans who are so blinded by their allegiance that they can hear 'Demolition' and think that it actually doesn't suck! Or Maiden fans who pretend to like the Blaze albums. You get my drift.

Maybe if you glam girls would just vote your honest opinion by NOT buying shitty albums, once great bands like Crue would try a little harder to reclaim their former mojo.. Just a thought.

C´mon, if you have grow up in thinkin with your mind and your age, the hair bands were still bigger than 20 years ago, but the fact is that when grunge came out, you fuckers just follow the tendency, ok it was good music, but for God´s sake, if the Crue is makin´a good record, don´t come up with shit like this... What a low life, poseur piece of snatch Kat is. Total star fucker. Because of her feeding Nikki her whole, "Motley Crue is the greatest band ever and my favorite"(which says how fucked in the head she truly is and how little sher knows about good rock music)bullshit, Nikki is going to abandon the stellar and promising Sixx AM project. Instead of James Michael we once again get Vince "croak a tune" Neil. Sure Motley Crue's first 2 albums were good but Theatre of Pain was for shit, Girls Girls Girls was meh and everything after that they completely sold out on. Nikki's time with 58 and Brides of Destruction produced better music than the lame ass crap that Motley Crue spewed out after Girls Girls Girls. More and more people are seeing Nikki as pathetic and desperate for even going out with Kat. I care about Nikki and I have to say that Kat Von D is just really bad juju.
