L.A. GUNS Featuring TRACII GUNS: South American Tour Postponed; New Album On The Way
- Mar. 17, 2008
L.A. GUNS guitarist Tracii Guns has issued the following update:
"We are heading up to Canada in a couple of weeks to record our new album ('Pretty In Black') with producer Steve Thompson (Google him. Lol!!!!) and as a result of tests that Paul [Black, vocals] has recently undergone, Paul's doctor (Dr. Sugarman) has recommended no singing live or traveling until after the record is complete so as a result we are rescheduling our South American tour for possibly June/July.
"We now have around 40 incomplete songs that we are really excited to get into the studio and start smashing out!! This definitely will not be your father's L.A. GUNS. As far as I can tell so far, the music is slightly more advanced, the lyrics are a lot more introspective without losing the fun nature of our rock 'n' roll. I expect there to be a lot of experimentation and many new sounds and colors, beats and swings that will make for an exciting listening experience."
The L.A. GUNS version featuring Tracii Guns on guitar, Jeremy Guns on bass, Chad Stewart on drums and Paul Black on vocals is not to be confused with the Phil Lewis-fronted group, which is also continuing to record and perform under the L.A. GUNS moniker.

It's bad enough that there are 2 versions of this band out touring. What's gonna happen when there are 2 different bands with the same name with cds in the stores? The Tracie version is a bunch of hacks. Who would actually back that band enough to put out product? Two different bands releasing music is comical. I'd sue the shit out of them.
Not that you can actually find their music in stores.

What a bunch of idiots... 2 bands with the same name.
It's like the Canadian Football League(CFL) with 2 teams called the Rough Riders at one time lol

uhhh, tracii, sit your butt down. nice try. yes, tracii, i know you and paul were the original LA Guns, but pal, paul can't even sing, let alone travel. WTF? can't travel because of a sore throat? bet his doctor is a phil lewis/LAG fan. got to see LAG soon after tracii left to do his ill fated BOD, and phil, adam, stacey, and steve rocked shit hot. maybe if tracii followed the turds he's laid the last 4 years back to the start, he'd realize where he went wrong. he got lead singer disease and he wasn't the lead singer. sigh. tracii, go back to the REAL LAG. give the fans what they want.
