GUNS N' ROSES Will Not Be Appearing In Any Reality TV Show

GUNS N' ROSES has dismissed as false a recent Internet report that a TV network has proposed an idea for a reality series involving the group's frontman Axl Rose.
In an official statement released via the group's web site, longtime Rose associate Del James writes, "Despite rumors floating around the Internet, GUNS N' ROSES will not be appearing on any reality TV program to promote their forthcoming album, 'Chinese Democracy', or for any other reason.
"The reality TV rumors started a little while ago and have taken on an Internet life of their own, but there is no truth to any of this."
A report at AllYourTV.com recently stated that a "major music-oriented television channel" had proposed an idea for a reality series revolving around Rose. Sources close to the project told the web site that the show would focus on the reclusive singer's efforts to complete and release the long-delayed GUNS N' ROSES album, "Chinese Democracy". The series would reportedly follow Rose and the other members of the current GUNS lineup through behind-the-scenes rehearsal and studio footage as well as interviews.
Sources at Rose's label, Geffen Records, reportedly said that a finished version of "Chinese Democracy" has been delivered to the company. Rose and the label, however, are still reportedly haggling over money and rights issues.
Rose recently announced that he and GN'R had signed with powerhouse managers Irving Azoff and Andy Gould, leading to speculation that the arrival of "Chinese Democracy" was imminent.

I read in Classic Rock that Buckethead said he'd do a movie about his life as a Chicken (!!) so who knows! he also said his mother was a hen and his father was a rooster and he recorded his guitar parts for the album in a chicken coop..but thats a different story...

if Axl has ANY hopes of playing Arenas or whatever, and not going back to clubs or small theatres. Since the article mentions him signing with an actual Big Name/Corporation (Irving Azoff), and having actually Turned In the completed record, maybe they'll work out the final details and get this CD out! 13-14 years, god knows how many personnel changes, re-writes, various producers hired/fired, etc. It'd be crazy, but imagine IF, and yes I KNOW this is the biggest IF ever, the V. Revolver guys management actually threw the idea at Matt, Slash, & Duff to think about the easiest Cash Cow and call a meeting with Axl to check out the new Chinese Democracy Cd, and try to arrange a reunion tour. Yes, I said it ! lol. Obv. I'd prob. win Powerball before this happening, but you ALL KNOW that since they kicked Heroin Scottie out of the band, A/R Wheeler dealers have been chomping at the bit, making calls, inquiring about this or that, and promoters have been drooling at the possibility as well. Seriously, you all KNOW this shit has been going on since they dumped that drunk druggie female singer, errr, Scott Weiland, from Velvet Revolver---and with that new cd not doing so well anyway, you never know...

People sure do have enough time on their hands to tell everyone nobody cares about Chinese Democracy anymore.
As for the reality show, I can see VH1 wanting a show on this, Why not? I've seen just about everything else done.Why do they say the internet company has "NOT PROPOSED"This announcement is just Axl's way of saying "NO", I'm not interested in doing this.

This album should have been released in 1994. Axl needs a time machine to make this album relevant. China is much closer to a democracy nowadays than ever. Even the name is lame. No matter how good the music is, it'll never live up to the hype.
My predictions for the reviews of the album: everyone will say that the album rocks, the tracks are solid, pretty much how everyone expects it will be. It's not legendary, but it's a decent rock record. Which is bad for G'N'R, because there's lots of decent rock records nowadays. Chinese Democracy needed to be the best rock record of all time, but it's just going to pull a Boston and be a timid Third Stage or Walk On.
And then what, is Axl going to put out new records regularly now? Neither of which will have the budget of Chinese Democracy and therefore be disappointing anyway. In other words, Axl is doomed. G'N'R is dead. His best option would be to reform with his old bandmates and go on a bunch of kick ass reunion world tours. I'd be down to see that.

It says in the first paragraph he is NOT doing a reality show. So where do you get that Axl "might" actually do it? Axl doesn't even do interviews, why would he subject himself to doing a fucking reality show??? Maybe you should re-read the first paragraph:

Look at all of the material released by artists that used to be in GNR.
Slash put out 2 with Snake pit
Duff has released 2, (1 was shelved before it was released)
Izzy has put out 3-4
Even Gilby has released 3-4.

I saw this rumor printed all over every major music news outlet on the internet. It's funny that ANYONE let alone the press would believe this. Axl has been such a recluse for more than a decade, hardly talking to the media or anyone for that matter. The idea that he would allow a camera crew to film him in personal and compromising situations is a joke. I know you can't count on the press for much, but C'mon! this was obviously a rumor.

The only way I even buy the new GN'R CD is if Slash, Duff and Izzy wrote the CD...if not, will not buy it! Will go see them live but not if they had nothing to do with the CD.
Then, who will the drummer be if they get back together??? Matt Sorum or Steven Adler?
Get Back together and make another classic album like Appetite for Destruction!!!!
