SLAYER High School Yearbook Being Auctioned

The 1983 yearboook from the South Gate High School in South Gate, California featuring some of the earliest pictures of SLAYER is being auctioned via eBay. According to a posting on the auction page, "This is an extreme rarity. This is an annual/yearbook that features some of the earliest pictures from SLAYER. This yearbook is from South Gate High School in South Gate California where SLAYER got their first start and a slew of bands followed their path. "This yearbook came out in 1983, so the pictures were probably taken around 1982, making this the pre- 'Show No Mercy' era. "There are a total of six pictures in this annual featuring SLAYER. All the original and current members of SLAYER are pictured here. Kerry King is using his original BC Rich Mockingbird guitar before he put tar (or whatever it was) to decorate it. The fourth picture shows Jeff Hanneman with a buzz haircut (he was the punk influence in the band). "In this auction I [the seller] will also include a set of flyers from the era where SLAYER played around the South Gate area, and features more pictures from the band at this time." The auction ends on April 26 at 21:55:04 PDT. SLAYER performing in 1983:

I was born in 82. Amazing how it took me 18 yrs to start listening to them. Should have listened to them the day i was born. BEST SLAYER ALBUMS

anything i forgot is not worth mentioning. cant wait to see the 50 yr old who comes and attacks me for my list. Just remember its all about production and blast beats nothing else

Uhhh...so I call b.s on the fact that you have been listning to Slayer for 8 years, yet you neglect to mention "Show No Mercy" in your top 8 Slayer albums. Then, to ass insult to ingury, you go ahead and say that it is "not worth mentioning"???
Hit the books kid. You've got lots to learn.
Anyways, for the rest of us slayer fans who are not complete tools or posers, here is my top 5.
1.Show No Mercy
2.Hell Awaits
3.South of Heaven
4.Reign In Blood
5.Seasons in the Abyss
If I Had to pick a "Post Seasons" album, I would honestly go for God Hates Us All. I Know...I Know...Ive heard it all before, but I think its an extremely well made album. (But still pales in comparison to the pre-1990's cuts)

(the last 3 are really a tie for me though)
I have an old concert video where they played 4 or 5 songs that didn't make Mercy. Slightly less evil than normal but still pretty cool

I'd have to rank Diablos in Musica last as they were written about in Harder Beat magazine (in the Dallas area) where an article said Slayer bought 11 songs off of a band in Houston (which was not named. Deadhorse?). Of course, when the album came out months later it had their names on it (rightfully, they bought the songs. they own them!??).
Then, next to last is the little Punk rock cover album-. Great songs...except they bowed to the label because they wanted to do old metal songs and the record label thought it would be cooler to do punk rock songs.
All the rest sounds like SLAYER. And that is a great thing-you walk in to buy the new album you know what it will sound like-
it will be metal and nothing else.

since most of the metal i listen to is death metal drumming and blast beats is what i believe makes metal nowadays. You cant tell me reign in blood is heavier than lets say christ illusion. Yes it may be faster but no where near as heavy. You must listen to shit like iron maiden cause what you think is good is fucking weak.

"Joey Hanneman" is NOT related to Jeff Hanneman.
"Joey"s real name is "Joey Fuchs".
It was just for marketing.
Yes, of course John is Tom Araya's younger brother, but thats where the Family ties end for Bloodcum.
