DISTURBED's new single,
"Inside The Fire" (
Windows Media,
Quicktime), made a huge impact at rock radio last month, with the song officially added to the playlists of more than 60 stations. The track is taken from
"Indestructible", and singer
David Draiman told
The Pulse of Radio it's one of the darkest songs he's ever written. "It is based on a true story of my own where, when I was about 16 or so, I had a girlfriend of mine commit suicide," he said. "It was an unbelievably horrific and painful experience, and it was cathartic to make the song, and it really took me having a certain mindset to do it, and I had to wait 'til I was ready."
The Chicago-based band will begin a spring U.S. tour on April 26 in Little Rock, Arkansas, with dates stretching into late May. Following its spring solo run and European dates in June,
DISTURBED will co-headline the
Rockstar Mayhem Energy Tour with
SLIPKNOT in July and August.
