MIKE PORTNOY, NEAL MORSE, PAUL GILBERT Join Forces For THE OSMONDS Cover - Apr. 27, 2008

DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy has collaborated with former SPOCK'S BEARD frontman Neal Morse and guitarist Paul Gilbert (ex-MR. BIG, RACER X) on a cover of THE OSMONDS' "Crazy Horses". The track, which will appear on Morse's forthcoming solo album, features Portnoy on drums and lead vocals.

Released in 1972, "Crazy Horses" was reportedly written about air pollution (with "crazy horses" representing automobiles) and was originally banned in South Africa because "horses" is a slang term for heroin there.

Long-running UK rock legends TANK previously covered "Crazy Horses" on their classic 1982 "Power of the Hunter" album.

	Awesome. I've loved that song since I was a kid. It's the only time the Osmonds have ever come to close to rocking.

	I can't wait to hear this. I remember seeing a live clip of this song on the old Donny And Marie show. I thought it rocked, I thought they were cool, I was 6 years old, glad I grew up, but it is still a great song!

	Heard the song on Eddie Trunk and the song SMOKES!!! Gilbert is INSANE!!!
