JIMI HENDRIX's Estate On Sex Tape: 'We Are Highly Offended By The Disgraceful Portrayal'

Experience Hendrix LLC, the Seattle-based family company which owns and administers the Jimi Hendrix legacy of recordings and songs, has issued the following statement regarding the upcoming release of a "sex film" allegedly starring the late guitar legend: "We, Experience Hendrix, the family company of Jimi Hendrix are aware of the release of the adult videotape which alleges to contain illicit footage of Jimi Hendrix. We strongly dispute the claimed authenticity and affirmatively state that Experience Hendrix is neither involved in, nor have we authorized the distribution of this film. Further, we deplore this unsubstantiated exploitation of Jimi Hendrix. We view the release as nothing more than a callous attempt to trade on the image and reputation of a deceased artist who is unable to defend himself against such an outrageous and baseless assertion. We are highly offended by the disgraceful portrayal. "While we do not wish to call undue attention to this desecration, we reserve all rights and remedies under the law to protect the character and legacy of Jimi Hendrix with which we have been charged and legally possess."

while i don't agree with profiteering off a dead artist, especially with such a private manner, i do have to say that's probably not that unbelievable to think that jimmy could have been in a sex tape or two...
i mean, he was a rockstar...in the sixties noless...

if pamela des barres and Cynthia plaster caster says its him, its him. I know someone who was very close to Jimi and he said Jimi loved to tape himself having sex. He would do it any chance he got. so it is him....But it is disgusting that some asshole would put this out...it shows what stupid things people would do for the almighty dollar

If you are stupid enough to make a tape, then you should expect that someone else is going to watch it and profit off of it.
It doesn't affect his legacy at all ... in fact, it is right in line with his legacy.
If it offends you ... don't buy it.

It can't be videotape as that wasn't widely available before hendrix's death. It as to be on filmstock, which I find hard to beleive would remeain that stable and in that good of condition, even assuming it was filmed in '70 before Hendrix died.
Hell, Star Wars was five or so years older and that professional filmstock was highly eroded when Lucas did the touch-ups.

Rooivak is right how the hell would this have lasted unreleased for so long up until now? Come on this was probably filmed a few weeks ago and made up to look like it was from back then. Either way two chicks at once ain't a bad deal.

Despite their statement "we reserve all rights and remedies under the law to protect the character and legacy of Jimi Hendrix with which we have been charged and legally possess.", they do NOT possess legal rights to Jimi's likeness and image.
Not only that, it is legally impossible to legally possess someone's "character".
So there is nothing they can do about it.
Janie Hendrix oughta star in her own low-budget porn film.
She is, after all, a con artist of the highest order, running around claiming to be Jimi's sister, when in fact she is no blood relation to Jimi whatsoever.

I just saw it last night. It IS Jimi!
Poor little Janie Hendrix. Sobbing that Jimi actually was a human being and had sex with lotsa women.
She is probably upset that she cannot have as much sex as Jimi did lol.
No doubt that it is him. I identified several things that prove beyond a shadow of a doubt it is him.
I do wish they would say what city it was filmed in, and approximately when. They say they found the guy who actually did the filming, but could not mention his name for 'legal reasons'.
Lemme guess....if it was not Mitch Mitchell, then it had to be someone on the road crew.
If the 2 chicks in the film would step up to the plate and say "That was me in the film and that IS Jimi", then it would put a stop to Janie Hendrix LLC bitching and sobbing about this film.
