HELSTAR, SNAKE SKIN PRISON Confirmed For SOUTH TEXAS ROCK FEST - May 2, 2008

HELSTAR and SNAKE SKIN PRISON have been confirmed for the "second stage" at the first annual South Texas Rock Fest, set to take place on July 11-13 (the same weekend as the similarly themed Rocklahoma festival in Pryor, Oklahoma) at the Javelina Harley-Davidson Festival grounds in San Antonio, Texas.

Commented the organizers: "Due to the overwhelming response on the South Texas Rock Fest, we have decided to bring in a second stage and give all indie and up-and-coming bands the opportunity to play!"

The running order for the "main stage" is as follows:

	Wow. 22 bands, and only two badasses - Zero Hour and Helstar. How embarassing for them to share the stage with a bunch of has-beens and nostalgia acts. I don't know what to think of QR anymore. It's been fourteen years since they've released a solid album. You could argue that Ozz Knozz has enough credibility in SA to get a better slot, but they released their best stuff nearly thirty years ago. I have to say this, though. Y&T are fucking great live.
