VAN HALEN: Pro-Shot Footage From Dallas Posted Online

Dallas, Texas TV station TXA 21 has posted professionally filmed video footage of VAN HALEN performing the classic song "You Really Got Me" on April 24, 2008 in Dallas. Watch the clip at this location. Eddie Van Halen recently spoke to People magazine about his health in the wake of the March 2008 announcement that VAN HALEN's ongoing world tour was put on ice after the guitarist was diagnosed with an unspecified medical condition. There are still no public details on exactly what ailed, or ails, the guitarist, but he says, quote, "I feel excellent. I'm healthier than I've ever been. It's wonderful." VAN HALEN resumed its reunion tour with singer David Lee Roth on April 17 in Reno, Nevada, followed by a performance in Las Vegas on April 19 at Tiger Jam XI, an annual fundraiser hosted by pro golf star Tiger Woods. Following Tiger Jam XI, the quartet headed to Cincinnati on April 22 to begin the jaunt in earnest, with shows running through June 2 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Tickets for all the original dates are good for the new shows, and refunds are also available at point of purchase. Promoters stated in March that Eddie Van Halen was undergoing "medical tests to define a course of treatment," although both his son, bassist Wolfgang Van Halen, and his ex-wife, actress Valerie Bertinelli, went public to reassure fans that the guitarist was doing "great." A recurrence of cancer or a fall off the wagon were both rumored as the cause of the guitarist's woes. The first VAN HALEN tour in 22 years with Roth behind the mic has been a smash success since kicking off last fall.

Saw VH in Cincy...Very good, tight show...Played all of the old classic tunes. Over two hours of non-stop music with great musicianship...Not much of a stage show, but great music!!!!!

The ring on Ed's left hand is a "promise" ring from girlfriend/publicist Janie Liszewski (sp). Not sure what she promised him, but I find it an odd thing to give a 53-year old man. I had one in high school if memory serves me right!

But then again he could never sing, and the Van Inhalin' bros. have said so on many occasions. He was only in the band to begin with because he owned a P.A. He sounds out of breath and out of shape. I would rather see them with Hagar as long as Hagar gets over it and plays more of the old shit, because he could sing way better! And I still say Eddie looks more like Eddie from Iron Maiden than Eddie from Van Halen!!!

The crotch thing was added to embelish my point and wasnt intended to be taken so literally. It's my opinion that the angle of the camera focused on Dave was too low. Usually when I see a 'pro-shot' video, it has multiple cameras and angles. This reminds me of a video captured on a cellphone, with better picture and sound.

Because Eddie was not going to rehab and was high on meth and booze.
But damn if Eddie had control of himself that '04-'05 tour would have blown this '07-'07 tour away and Sammy would have stayed for a couple of more albums, and Eddie wouldn't have to resort back to getting with his nemasis Dave to make any cash and we would have had new material from Sammy and the crew too.
plus Sammy would have made Eddie keep Mike with Van Halen.

David Lee Roth is just touring for the money and Eddie only has him on this tour because Sammy Hagar won't deal with Eddie's foolishness anymore, including not having Michael Anthony being part of it.
Eddie needs Sammy, because Dave will never do new material that will work.
Sammy proved that when he was part of Van Halen they were bigger than ever and you CLassic Van Halen fans that love DLR will never get over the fact that Sammy was more popular with the band and is the better frontman. All DLR is with Van Halen is classic rock that only belongs in the past.

I love how the fans of spambo, hate this true reunion of Dave with Edward.
We are hoping for new music, I do hope it comes.
May 13th, my third show of the tour.
Oh and the same old lame arguments by the Van Hagar lovers, I don't care.....
I could care less if Van Hagar played only Stadiums and this Van Halne was doing only clubs.
This is rock n roll, and they are kicking ass, and Ed somehow has gotten his game back.

Dave's solo career was succesful financially up until about 1994(with the release of YFLM), and then went downhill, financially speaking(YFLM is ok...)....yeah, i know.....i know......DLR Band has a bunch of good tunes, and I love Black Sand....
But.......I still think Van Halen should have changed thier name, in my opinion.....but it is only my opinion, it doesn't matter.....
I am just happy to get all of these shows of the boys back together playing those classic everlasting songs..........tuesday night......i am looking forward to hearing the improved edward...
