METALLICA: New HAMMETT, HETFIELD Photos Posted Online

Legendary rock photographer Ross Halfin has posted two samples from a brand new METALLICA photo session which took place on May 13. Check them out; Kirk HammettJames HetfieldCommented Halfin in his online diary: "Started off quite slow; they hadn't done any photos for nearly a year, so it took a while to gel. When it did, it worked amazingly well. I forgot we work well together. I know what makes them look good and they understand what I need to get out of them. Lars [ Ulrich] had made a considerable effort with his wardrobe — it consisted of t-shirts with things like GIRLSCHOOL, SAXON, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, and my personal favourite, RIOT. We even played METAL CHURCH, THIN LIZZY (my iPod), after they had played 'Killers' twice on the stereo. It was a fulfilling day."

I watched "Cliff 'Em All" again the other night after not watching it in a couple years, and all my negative thoughts about the "Load" era washed away.
I'm looking forward to their newest release.
I've gone out of my way not to find anything online from the new CD so I can judge it fairly when I finally buy it and listen to it.
I know a lot of people weren't fans of "St. Anger," but I liked it more than anything they have done prior since "And Justice for All," so my optimism is higher than most folks.
Metallica still rocks, and always will.

Depending on how you look at it, Metallica have only 2 bad albums or sessions. Load & reload i class as one because they were the same sessions and St.Anger, which makes 2. If Metallica did split after the black album, the black album would be the best "worse" album by any band, sadly the albums that followed were worse but hey. Metallica ruled & they will again.
People say Tallica havent released anything good in 15 years or so, but that makes it sound like theyve been releasing album after album in those years, sadly, theyve hardly released anything in those years, its not like they've been releasing album after allbum after album of poor material.

Oh, so now real metal and old metal is hip again so he's making an effort? Just a few years ago I almost puked where he said "i've been absorbing Alanis Morrisette and Oasis records".
What a dimwit.
