Nice to see an actual dialogue instead of just Q&A. You can tell Lars actually cares about the purpose of the benefit, instead of just showing up and playing a show their agent came up with.
Also nice to see I'm not the only who noticed (in between all the bashers: does it seriously never bore you guys? The meaningless name calling?)

It's funny how you can tell who here is a parent, and who isn't. As a father myself, I totally get what he is saying. Keep your kids involved, whether it's music or sports. Actually both. Through music and t-ball, I have seen my 5 year old grow dramatically in the past year. He has outlets for his energy and his creativity. Now do I have any delusions that my son will one day be the opening day starter for the Mets, or the lead guitarist for GNR when Chinese Democracy finally comes out in 2028? No. But I think through these outlets, as well as the time and energy that me and his stepmom, as well as his mother and grandparents put in will help him be sucessfull in life. But I do have to work on the fact that he actualluy likes several tracks off of St. Anger. Oh well, he is only 5.

I know the 10 - 15 bux an album must really wear out your wallet, but some of us can actually wait for the records to drop and do want the artists to make some money off their work.

But seriously, didn't click on the interview, why should I? Won't get the new cd, didn't get the previous few cds from them, why should I? But I don't get the Lars Bashing - maybe I haven't seen any interviews lately, but anybody with Girlschool, BOC shirts and the guy who went to England in search of... has to have points in my book. 2 points. 1st, he's in denial about his son going from the clarinet to the guitar, but why not? The clarinet would be a father's worst nightmare. Just kidding! 2nd, Today Mountain, tomorrow Foghat. I remember a cool Foghat song from the later era 'Live now, Pay later' - early eighties - after all the big hits like Slow ride. Great song. Unfortunately it's not on their best of comp. I only have it on a vinyl compilation called Double Hard vol. 2 Great record with The Rods, Angelwitch, Gillan, MSG, Girlschool, Tygers of Pan tang (All or nothing) The Lightning Raiders, Donny Iris, UFO, Motorhead and Foghat. Bring it to cd!
