RATT, JACKYL, ACE FREHLEY Added To ROCKLAHOMA

Lynn Hernandez of Tulsa, Oklahoma's 97.5 KMOD radio station has announced that RATT, JACKYL and the "Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp" band have been confirmed for the newly added fifth-day (Wednesday, July 9) portion of this year's Rocklahoma festival. Meanwhile, original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley will play on the festival's closing day, July 13.
Rocklahoma will be held July 9-13, 2008 at the Catch The Fever Festival Grounds, four miles north of Pryor, Oklahoma. TRIUMPH and EXTREME are among the bands reuniting with all or most of their original lineups for this year's festival, which will also feature sets from NIGHT RANGER, CINDERELLA, Bret Michaels, TESLA, ARMORED SAINT, L.A. GUNS and many more. More than 85 bands in all will perform on three giant stages throughout the four days with several more big names to be added in the coming weeks.

I'm sorry, but who THE FUCK is going to want to see a bunch of 40-something accuntants and architects play Zeppellin and Aeromsith covers with a bunch of old has-beens? This counts as an act?
The kid across the street's garage band is available if you need more performers! They do an almost in-tune version of "Highway To Hell"!

No dude it's cool, i am just saying that most of these bands are doing successful tours right now, the rest of the world are paying to see them and they are kicking the shit out of all the younger bands that are out today. These bands paved the way for the few bands that have made it in the past 10 years. Just curious, who would you pick, lets see your lists. Please , no Backstreet boys or shit like that,

I don't think everyone got what I meant. 'Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp' is a thing where old rich guys pay a lot of money to hang out and jam with some washed up rock stars in need of a paycheck and at the end they do a big concert somewhere (there was a Simpsons episode where Homer went).
Anyway, it seems like THAT band is on the bill. It just seems like an odd thing for them to book rather than a real band (or what's left of some real band).
And yes, I am a fan of the genre...

What is this festival about. The fact that 90's is over.90's lovers get over it.The 90's sucked ass and produced nothing.You cant even rid those cd's on Ebay for a penny.Your turn till feel the wraith,your mean spirited jibes at everything 80's is now spat right back in your face!Your decade failed.Alternative turned mainstream failed to impress.Yeah,there is old men playing true hard rock at this festival (and yes we would have like to seen Iron Maiden,Priest,Helloween,Savatage,King Diamond,Dream Theater and a handful of thrash bands),but the idea is to give the people who love this and have been purposely starved of it a time of their lives and this is all ages and they get to be influenced.If you havent noticed,the new generation of kids and musicians have rejected that 90's alternative nonsense in favor of 80's.The lead solo's are back,the long hair is back.Rock and Metal is back and rising a new generation of progressive rock and metal,where it should have gone in the 90's anyway.Fuck grunge and alternative shit.The kids is what matters,the music to progress is what matters.Fuck Clear Channel,they have no control over this one.Non Alternative for all ages rules,you 90's cavemen are out and done.
