BEWARE: New Song Posted Online - May 16, 2008
BEWARE, the project featuring vocalists Kam Lee (MASSACRE, DENIAL FIEND) and Stevo (IMPETIGO) alongside guitarist/bassist Patrick Bruss (CRYPTICUS) and drummer Wayne "Elektrokutioner" Sarantopolous (DECREPITAPH), has posted a new song, "Elixir of Evil", on the band's MySpace page.

BEWARE was previously described as an "homage" to the classic horror comics and films from the '50s, '60s, and early '70s, such as "Tales From The Crypt", "Creepy", "Witches Tales", "Nightmare", as well as films from the mighty Amicus Studios and other gems of the past. Musically, they all decided that pure '80s and early '90s death metal was the only way to go, taking inspiration from bands such as ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, GRAVE, MASSACRE, etc. 10 songs are being written for the debut album, titled "Not For The Squeamish", to be released on Razorback Records in the coming year. Songtitles set to appear on the LP include "Name Your Poison", "Chupamacabre - The Ghastly-Sucker", "A Bone To Pick", "Roast of the Town", and more, with lyrics written by Stevo and Kam Lee.

This is a instant purchase, and looking forward to this killer metal release !!!

Razorback is not the only label keeping metal alive, every label has one original world class act. And when every label has that one special signing, the competitor record labels, has to get the next best thing, because eveyone over collects every sub-genre. I know... I did it with hard rock/ heavy metal in the 70's, power, thrash and death in the 1980's, and gothic, black and death in the 90's and 00's.

This band will make my top 500 wantlist for 2008, or whenever it is scheduled to be released.
