VELVET REVOLVER, AEROSMITH Members To 'Save The Planet' - May 25, 2008
According to MyrtleBeachOnline.com, VELVET REVOLVER bassist Duff McKagan; Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer of AEROSMITH; Robin Zander and Rick Nielsen of CHEAP TRICK; Frank Beard of ZZ TOP; and Andrew WK are among the musicians who are expected to participate in the inaugural Save the Planet Invitational golf tournament hosted by longtime and popular PGA Tour member Peter Jacobsen.

The tournament will be at the private Members Club at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Monday, June 2, as part of a grand opening celebration of Hard Rock Park. It may become an annual event, according to Ed Kiernan, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Peter Jacobsen Sports, and there's a chance the public may be invited in the future.

For kids of all ages and backgrounds, the village will have facilities designed to cater to the needs of children with life-threatening illnesses, and programs to help troubled kids or kids who have lost loved ones.

The tournament will not be open to the public.

After all these years of over indulgence, now they want to make up for it because they feel bad?!!?
Give me a break! Like a round of golf is going to save anything, lol! It seems like this whole $Al Gore$ global warming thing is turing out to be a big farce anyway... A little to late guys!

Nobody is "saving the planet", because the planet isn't in trouble. It's human beings who are fucked!

If we all end up dying because of climate change, the earth is just going to go right back to the way it was after a few thousand years. Our planet has been through far worse shit than global warming.
