PSYOPUS Parts Ways With Singer, Announces Replacement - May 28, 2008
Rochester, New York-based tech grindcore/hardcore outfit PSYOPUS has issued the following update:

"PSYOPUS is happy to announce the enlisting of new vocalist and Rochester, NY native Matt Dalberth. Matt is replacing vocalist Harrison Christie.

"The addition of Matt to the band makes the majority of the band from Western, NY which provides cohesiveness and new stability to the line up. Matt's talents can be witnessed by his performances with the Rochester, NY band BURN EVERYTHING. PSYOPUS welcomes him and his high-energy stage presence to the band.

"PSYOPUS wishes Harrison Christie the best of luck with his future endeavors and would like to thank him for the time shared with PSYOPUS.

"The band is currently writing and rehearsing for their next album yet to be titled. The album will be recorded July 20th through August 16th with engineer Doug White at Watchmen Studios in Lockport, NY."

PSYOPUS's latest album, "Our Puzzling Encounters Considered", was released in February 2007 via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at Watchmen Studios in Lockport, NY with producer Doug White.

Adam was definitely the best frontman they've had so far! I thought Harrison put on a great show, but I didn't really like his voice :X Hopefully this new guy can bring it!

i saw these guys about 3 years ago in virginia. musicially i was blown away. the vocals took a shit. this brand of math-metal would be so much better with a decent singer or all instrumental. when i made the comment that they reminded me of what watchtower could have morphed into, they said "who's watchtower"? bow to your gods, children.

whatever. screamo-emo-core vocals make my balls scream, and not in a good way.
