TRACII GUNS' L.A. GUNS: New Singer Revealed - June 3, 2008
The rock 'n' roll band L.A. GUNS, featuring guitarist Tracii Guns, has some big news heading into its Summer Blackout Tour 2008.

The band will be hitting the road this month with a couple of new members on board. In addition to Tracii Guns on lead guitar, Jeremy Guns will be on bass along with Chad Stewart on drums, and the group has enlisted new rhythm guitar player Alec "Big Al" Bauer, who has been touring with L.A. GUNS since 2007.

Marty Casey, the "new blonde guy," as the band has affectionately referred to him on its web site, is the new voice of L.A. GUNS. Casey gained recognition as a vocalist along with millions of fans during his run on the hit CBS show "Rock Star: INXS". He was also instrumental in writing and creating new material on the upcoming L.A. GUNS album.

The boys of L.A. GUNS have another "big gun" in their pocket. The band is currently in Canada recording its new album with multi-Grammy-Award-winning producer Steve Thompson. Tracii describes the CD by saying, "This definitely will not be your father's L.A. GUNS." He adds that and the music is "slightly more advanced" and the lyrics are "more introspective without losing the fun nature of our rock 'n' roll."

L.A. GUNS is currently signed to Alexus Records. Look for these guys on tour this summer with FASTER PUSSYCAT and BANG TANGO as they blaze a trail through a city near you.

He sounds good in that video. He'll be a nice fit for Tracii's version of LA Guns.

I hope Marty works out for them. They’ve had many singers it seems since the original ensemble broke up. I did see Phil Lewis’ version of LA Guns a couple months back. To be frank, it was not the greatest show. Nothing to write home about, but I did like their tour bus. It was literally an ice cream van that had “Archie’s Ice Cream” written all over it. It had Christmas tree lights inside and let me tell you, the engine was that of a Lamborghini Diablo! This thing hauls like no other!

I listened to about 20 seconds of this guy singing and I can pretty safely predict that "this is not your fathers LA Guns" will mean that this is your brothers nickleback/trapt/creed ...In that case Ill take my fathers LA Guns because I loathe the new line of radio rock.

COMMENT | This guy actually is pretty good!

I was surprised how the way he sang those songs with INXS on that reality show and with his other band that he had I was suprisingly impressed! All I can say is best luck to him in LA Guns!

COMMENT | O.K.

I watched both rock stars shows, and I must say that Marty would be a good fit for the "fake" L.A. Guns, anyway Paul Black was not that hard to beat,

Isn't that ironic that, even though Marty Casey didn't win rock star INXS, he may have a longer singing (pro) career than that JD dude, because I really doubt INXS release another album...

And don't worry, by pro, I don't necessairely mean the big leagues...

COMMENT | I guess it's appropriate...
