Former GUNS N' ROSES Drummer STEVEN ADLER Confirmed For Second Season Of 'Celebrity Rehab'

Former GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler and WHITESNAKE vocalist David Coverdale's ex-wife Tawny Kitaen are among the celebrity patients undergoing detoxification and treatment at a center in the Los Angeles area on the second season of the hit reality series "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew". The series, consisting of eight one-hour episodes, is slated to premiere October 2008 on VH1. Similar to the first cycle, the second season of "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" will follow Jeff Conaway as he checks back into rehab after a series of back surgeries, setbacks and subsequent reliance on pain medications. Joining him in rehab are Sean Stewart ( "Sons of Hollywood"), Amber Smith (model/actress), Rodney King, Nikki McKibbon ( "American Idol"), Adler and Kitaen. Gary Busey, who is 13 years sober from his cocaine addiction, will also be joining the cast to take the journey with the others and to share his experiences on the recovery process. The series will chronicle the patients' intensive 21-day program with both group and one-on-one therapy and non-traditional therapies like art and music. Returning to the show to help Dr. Drew are drug counselor Bob Forrest and resident technician Shelly Sprague who have each spent years on both sides of the rehab fence. Dr. Drew is also bringing in some additional prominent physicians to help him give the patients supplementary one-on-one care. The patients' families will also be more involved with their recovery programs and, in some cases, will receive treatment themselves. After they completed the program, the patients will be strongly encouraged to continue their treatment in a sober living facility or treatment center for at least three months at VH1's expense. Sign me up for the WHOLE Season of this train wreck tv show!! Adler can't talk, Tawny can't act/get a job, Sean Stewart aint no Celebrity---just the son of one. Rodney King?! errr, ok, whatever on that one. Amber Smith, hot model to look at I guess, hopefully she'll be scantily dressed anyway. But, GARY FREAKIN' BUSEY!!! Reason ENOUGH to watch this show. That dude is sooooo fried and self-medicated and warped in his own hippy dippy idealogy, he should have his Own show!! It'd be the Funniest Comedy eva' !!!!!!!!

Then let's crack open our sixpacks of Miller Lite and watch them OD, hopefully to see the World Poker Tour. would you say this about someone in your family if it was them had a stroke??
Would you be talking shit about them being addicted to drugs??
Or would you be feeling sympathetic towards them as it isnt something a person can help themselves.
Yeah he had a cocaine induced stroke, he has gotten clean before, but he is addicted, meanin he can't do without it. He doesn't choose to get strung out, he needs to.
Yeah the stroke affected him, he can't speak properly and his drumming isnt as good, but he can still play.
I personally feelsorry for him, as he has had such shit happen to him before, during and after Guns N Roses, an this is the consequence of that. He was fired from GNR for drug abuse, which was hypocritical as they were all using.
He tried every way to kill himself after he was fired.
He is ill, you guys should respect him for his input to music, not shit talk him.

But I like Dr. Drew and thought the first season was pretty good. I also have an unhealthy preoccupation with Mary Cary's huge tits, which may have had something to do with it.
And of course, if it's got Busey, it's bound to be good. Life with Busey was awesome. He may be 13 years off the drugs, but I think anyone who has ssen this guy in action would not characterize his words and actions as "sober."
