CRADLE OF FILTH: New Audio Interview With DANI FILTH Posted Online - June 13, 2008

Headbanger's Blog recently talked with CRADLE OF FILTH frontman Dani "Filth" Davey about the sound of the British extreme metal band's forthcoming album. The as-yet-untitled CD is a concept record about a legendary serial killer from the 15th Century, Gilles De Rais, a French nobleman who fought alongside Joan of Arc and accumulated great wealth before becoming a satanist, sexual deviant and a murderer. Davey also spoke about the song her wrote for Dario Argento's new horror film "Mother of Tears", the horror-themed video he wants to do for the new record and the long-awaited history book he wrote with Gavin Baddeley, "Gospel of Filth: A Bible of Decadence and Darkness", which he hopes will be out by Halloween — around the time the new record drops.

	So, COF are now glorifying a guy who kidnapped, sexually assaulted, tortured and murdered hundreds of children, mostly young boys :wonder if the Press releases will include that fact to publicise the album? Whats next Dani, Madeleine McCann the Musical? P.I.M.B!

	What a retarded post...singing about a band isn`t glorifying...Cradle have already done a concept album on Countess Bathory and Celtic Frost wrote a song about Gilles De Rais over 20 years ago! Fuck, by that reckoning just about every metal band in the world are guilty!

	Besides the things mentioned in the original post here is the interesting stuff said in the interview. Apparently There is no Doug Bradley on this new album (Mr. Pinhead/Hellraiser) BUT Tony Todd (Candyman) is the voice of Gilles De Rais the person who the album is themed on. There will be interviews in the book with Marilyn Manson and Antone Lavey.
