QOTSA's JOSH HOMME To Alleged 'S**t-Thrower': I'll Butt-F**k You, You Chickens**t F****t

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE frontman Josh Homme called out an audience member yesterday (Friday, June 13) for allegedly "throwing shit" at him during QUEENS' performance at the Norwegian Wood festival in Oslo, Norway. The entire incident was captured on video by NRK Lydverket and can be viewed below. Also available is footage of vocalist Benjamin Kowalewicz and guitarist Ian D'Sa of the Canadian rock band BILLY TALENT discussing the incident the following day. A transcript of Homme's onstage rant follows: "Do me one favor, though. Don't throw any shit at me. You throw something at me, I'm not so sick that I can't go down there and beat the fucking shit out of you, you know what I'm saying?! I may have a fucking 102 temperature and been puking for three days, but I'll still butt-fuck you in front of all your friends. [ Spots the culprit in the crowd] Hey, you, right there — hey, you, with the fucking hat on! Hey, pussy! Turn around, you fucking pussy with the black hair! Proof - this shit doesn't happen in the animal kingdom. Animals take what they need to survive, and all else is about respect.
Only humans do stupid shit to one another and then expect 'moral boundaries' to protect us from consequences.
I say fuck this kid. I wouldn't back Homme up for physically attacking him, but to embarass the shit out of him and have him kicked out is just the right thing to do. I'll bet that fucker learned a valuable lesson from it all, one his parents obviously failed to teach him. Homme just made the world a better place.

I've never even thought of throwing something at a performer, but those festivals get tight, crazy and testosterone is flowing.
I feel bad that it was just a young kid who probably thought that a major performer would be used to it. It's not cool to get the kid in that kind of trouble and security took him out in case the audience nails him.
Josh looked tired and was sick, so he was temporarily out of his mind.
The drummer, Castillo looked disturbed by what was going on. Two wrongs... no right.

It always seems to be the emo-looking folks that disrupts a show by throwing shit at the performers. Reminds me of that Supersuckers show I saw a few years back when someone who looked suspiciously like the same guy in that video was spitting the contents of his beer onstage. Eddie Spaghetti looked ready to eviscerate the kid with his bass guitar that night. Shame he didn't go ahead with it as the incident threw the band off their rhythm that night.
He did grab the kid's beer right from his hand but it wasn't the same......

Well, it was humorous and I guess the kid got what he deserved but seems very OTT over one incident. I prefer the Mike Patton approach, you know; catch a bottle of piss, climb on Axl's monitor and pour it over his own head haha. Seriously though, I remember seeing Good Charlotte at Leeds Festival years ago, they got shit loads of bottles chucked at them and they were chucking them back and actually seemed to be enjoying it. In the end, I'm not a fan but it was a good show and was a much better approach than acting all macho IMO.
