MÖTLEY CRÜE To Guest On Tonight's 'On The Record With Greta Van Susteren' - June 23, 2008
MÖTLEY CRÜE will guest on tonight's (June 23) edition of "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren" beginning at 10:00 p.m. EST on the FOX News channel.

For more information, click here.

MÖTLEY CRÜE played its first show in a year yesterday (Sunday, June 22) when it headlined the second day of the Heavy MTL festival in front of 22,500 fans at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

MÖTLEY CRÜE's new album, "Saints of Los Angeles", is available for streaming in in its entirety at IHeartMusic.com.

Due on June 24, the album is loosely based on the band's memoir, "The Dirt", which was published in 2001. The CD will be the first to feature all four original members of the CRÜE since 1997's "Generation Swine".

"Crüe Fest" will kick off on July 1 in West Palm Beach, Florida, hitting 40 cities before wrapping up in late August.

I'll check out the show. Also bought the new CD a few days ago. Store got it a few days early before 6/24. It is a great rock album from start to finish. Look forward to seeing them this summer.

If any store sold you that CD ahead of time, that would be royally screwed! Any store that would sell ANY CD before the release date, gets fined out the ass!!!

I remember a Best Buy here in Atlanta did that once. The kid sold it early, and they were fined some huge ass fine. The kid got fired, fined, and taken to court. It was crazy/sad

Not calling you a liar, but not too sure any store would risk it!

I didn't buy it at bestbuy. Bought it a independent record store. They usually get stuff in a little early which is cool and fine. So no need for them to get fined , fired etc.

You'd be suprised how often stores put out cds early. I've run into it a couple of times. Can't remember the last time since I'm downloading now, but I do remember the first tiime. I picked up Ratt's dancing undercover 2 days before it came out. I know. Freaking sad that I can remember it.

I also got Duma Key by Stephen King about 3 days before it came out. I know, it's a book, but still the same concept.

What idiots. Nikki forgets why they are on TV? He makes a joke about a free show at MSG instead of talking about the Crue Fest tour that summer and then seems to remember at the end? (They're flashing info about the tour under the feed and he hasn't even mentioned it yet). What was he looking at, just past the cameras? notes...? they did not help. Vince can't remember how long it's been since they put out an album (he forgot that they continued without him for a while?). Idiots....

SHOUT...SHOUT...SHOUT at your PARENTS!

I used to work at an independent record store and we would get the new releases in on Friday or Monday prior to the release dates. We would sell the CD to our regular customers if they asked for it before the date it went on sale...

It was really the only way to make money as an independent dealer. The CDs were purchased from the One Stop for 10.30 to 11.30 a CD. They sold for 12.99 and 13.99. There is no mark up on CDs. In fact stores like Best Buy sell them below cost most of the time just to get you in the store.

So an independent store has to please its customers by offering them something special. This is why independent stores sell/sold bootlegs as well.

On to the Motley Crue CD.. There are some great tracks on the CD that are reminiscent of old Crue. Someone commented that there is no Dr. Feelgood on this CD. I remember when that CD came out, and people blasted it for being too commercial.

Bands change music changes. If they made stuff that sounded the same we would get bored with them as well. If you go back to the past CDs most of them only have 3-4 tracks each you would listen to all the time. So this CD is right on par.

Motherf*cker of the Year, Saints Of Los Angeles, and Down At The Whiskey are those tracks for this CD...

Anyway thats my 20 cents worth (inflation you know).
