MediaBistro.com reports: Fox News channel anchor Greta Van Susteren interviewed the original members of MÖTLEY CRÜE last night, just hours before their first CD release in 10 years. The CRÜE were in good spirits, which led to some highlights (or, rather, highlights). While Nikki Sixx answered a question, bandmate Tommy Lee mouthed, "That's a really stupid question." Then, at end of the interview, Lee asked, " Greta, what color panties are you wearing?" to groans from the other members of the band. It's amusing to compare Motley Crue on Fox news to the Iron maiden coverage on the same...on the one hand, you have Dickinson explaining how he's piloting the band and crew all over the world on a 757, on the other hand you have Tommy asking what color her panties are. I have a feeling the live performances will reflect a similar difference in class and talent.

Yeah. Let's totally flame Tommy for not sitting there in a suit and tie kissing ass on some news show. He probably thought exactly what I do - why the fuck do you put Motley Crue on the fucking FOX news channel?? Going on CNN - Larry King Live last week was a stretch but that turned out cool at least because Larry puts forth SOME effort in getting to know what the band are about. Good for Tommy for not being a kiss-ass and making things interesting.

Haha--definitely classic. He had time to think about it because he was like, "Greta" near the end of Nikki's spiel and then asked, "Greta, what color panties are you wearing?"
I watched that exact moment like five times just to see Nikki's expression. He didn't look to happy, but I don't expect anything less from him.

If you don't like 'Faux News' (get out of the coffee house get some fresh air) go enjoy some 'truly objective' news like the Black in America series on CNN. Good god.

THANK YOU!!! You said it perfectly! How redic is it that Nikki is exploiting the band for every ounce of media attention he can get...because these shows are so supportive of rock'n roll...whatever! With all these appearances, the album sales should represent the best -selling record of all time. I think Nikki is going for the world record, how many talk shows can a band appear on before a release.
